  1. VJr's, Since we are on the topic,

    Khurram or anyone else, How recent should the statements, job letter, etc be. Proof of assets also include 401k monies????....Correct?? The employment letter I got was before my wife rec'd her packet, so should I get another one made, also should I go ahead and send her my original paystubs? See, I plan on sending one last $$$expensive, fedex packet to her and want to make sure I got everything.

    This is what I included

     Bank Letter with Bank Statements

     Job Letter ( Issued 30 days before the interview)

     Copy of Tax returns -2004-2005-2006

     Pay Checks (showing paychecks ending a month before the interview)

     Tax Transcripts -2004-2005-2006

     401k Statement ( I included it for my assets/stocks)

     Citizenship Certificate (I have seen some people being asked for it so I included it)

    Also If you will put down you life insurance as an asset make sure you attach the proof of that as well.

    Also, Khurram, what type of letter from a bank are you referring to?

    Well, I wonder if you can just print out "online statements" and have the bank stamp them or something.

    Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institutions where you have deposits, identifying the following details regarding your account:

    1. Date account opened;

    2. Total amount deposited for the past year;

    3. Present balance.

    Keep in mind if your income for past 3 years is above the poverty line, you wont need the bank statement.

    You provided 2 of the following, (1) Tax returns and (2) Letter from employer, along with I-134 nothing else in needed.

    Also tax transcripts are acceptable and recommended in place of copies of 1040, and W2 forms, the transcripts are free from the IRS. http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq1-6.html

  2. :help::help:Disregard first post.. SORRY..

    Okay, we filed in June 2006 under CR-1 .. We completed all paperwork(s) he had his interview in March of 2007. After his interview he was placed under Admin Processing.

    Today, after beening on AP since March of 2007 I called the Visa Specialist in D.C.

    She stated that all reports (clearance reports) have been completed in D.C and have been sent to Pakistan Embassy. She said its not up to the Embassy to see what will happen next... Based on the reports I am sure... (making sure no hits ect)

    So, my question is.. what happens next? am I done? will they require a SECOND INTERVIEW? I just dont know if i should become HAPPY YET!

    Thanks

    Lilah

    Email the embassy at PakIVInfo@state.gov with your case number, they should be able to update you on the status.
