that is correct but i think i uploaded it either way. In my case was it beneficial i am not sure but both my parents have their interview this friday so i guess it wasnt a bad decision.

i dont remember clearly but that is how you prove your relation. I think you can upload as many docs as you want, just rename them according to doc type and upload. and when they went for interview, they took mine, theirs and my siblings birth cert just in case

was able to schedule my fathers bio metric as well as consulate appointment using the portal for Mumbai consulate.

Did you guys finished with biometric before the interview date got canceled.

I really appreciate your response. That is what I thought and heard. I received initial email of cancellation and gave steps to take on the portal. When I try to do we don’t even get the calendar to select a date so it never moves forward. I haven’t received any other email from them. So I feel I am stuck.

i am sorry i to write on this thread. i need help with mumbai consulate IR5 category. please anyone with any any help is much appreciated. My dad had his interview scheduled on January 9 2025 at Mumbai consulate which got cancelled due to memorial of Jeremy Carter. We tried rescheduling as per the email we received and i am unable to do so. The initial email was received on January 2nd and we still have nothing. Tried calling the call center in India as well as the Mumbai consulate but no help. I learnt from other sources that the same happened to them but they have received a new email with a rescheduled interview date. Because i created around 4 cases to get help on the portal from https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ now they have blocked me. I am no longer able to access this link from computer. Tried accessing from my other computer and it worked fine. Does anyone know a way to get this rescheduled. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you,

All, i was able to resolve the issue by taking the risk of closing this application and strating a new one. It let me start the process again and also as i hadnt done any payment or anything, it worked for me. i thank all and ope it all go smooth for all.

my mum is scheduled for her interview on nov 5 2024 and i have to schedule her bio metric but i think i selected wrong post visa category, i realized and didnt proceed. Now everytime i try to fix it by starting from step 1 i get below messages highlighted in BOLD. I tried to correct my error but now its says that: There are multiple Open Applications for ContactID: she has another application going on (the one i made mistake, selected LPR instead of IR5 under ALL IV), Visa Information MUMBAI IV LPR Lawful Permanent Residents it gives me the option to close application and start new application but when i click on it, it gives me below message and i dont know what consequences will i face if i do that. This action will permanently close any open applications, including Group or Emergency requests. You can use your existing valid visa fee receipt to create a new application, and you can re-add your dependents. Do you wish to proceed? if i go to continue application it brings me to Interview Waiver where i stopped initially (when i realised i made a mistake) and then it asks me to select as below: Are you a Legal Permanent Resident whose green card is lost or stolen AND have you been outside the United States for less than one year? Note: I am applying for Boarding Foil (Lost or Stolen Green Card) interview. I completed the Form I-131A with all supporting documents and paid the I-131A filing fee through the USCIS online payment system. I don’t think so. I thinks it’s about yours and your mums, not your siblings. Did you file for them and do you have approval for them?

so then he does not need the papers as there is no database. He did live in yemen and bahrain for 12 months and he was 16 and older. so looking at this he will need for Bahrain but Yemen should not be needed. correct. can you please also help me for my mum, she did in and out of Uganda for 3 years, i believe she never lived for more than 6 months. does she need police cert. She also visited London and lived there for 5 months on visiting visas. so i need police cert for this. for all this i am looking at the govt website but its very difficult. anyone please help. thanks.

ahh sorry forgot to mention here. my dad got approved on may 20. received his invoce and all the details may 26. paid his fees and now going to fill out forms soon.

my dad used to work in Saudi and Yemen in a construction company. his last country of work was Yemen. he returned back to India in 2015. and has not leave India ever since. he is an Indian citizen. he renewed his Indian passport in 2019 as his previous one expired. i want to know is will he need police clearance for all the countries he has been to work for especially Yemen. he has been leaving in India since 2015 so i will have to get Indian PCC. does NVC checks all our past history work experiences and living addresses. can someone please help. thanks.

i have started filling in the forms for my parents once i130 approved. i am taking time so that i don't make any mistakes. i need help guys, my dad worked in Yemen for a construction company for almost 20 to 25 years and other Gulf countries. he is in India since 2015. i am not sure if i should add that as his work experience or not. i don't want to get tangled in getting his police clearance for all that. also he got his passport done in 2019 as his previous one expired. i am a little confused for all his information. does NVC check all his past history or just last 10 years. anyone able to please help. thanks in advance.

no they do not have US visa and they never have visited the country. if all goes good this will be their first time entering the country.
