Hi everyone, I became a U.S. citizen last year through the 3 year marriage green card process. I know that when you are a resident you have to file jointly in your taxes but now that I am u.s. citizen and my spouse is also a u.s. citizen, do we have to file jointly or can we file separately? Thanks in advanced!

At my oath ceremony, USCIS officers were telling us to make an appointment at our local uscis to get a certified copy of our naturilzafion certificate in case the passport folks lose the certificate. I’ve tried to call the 800 USCIS number but I haven’t been able to make an appointment. anyone have any tips on how to make an appointment to get a certified copy?? Or any other ways to obtain a certified copy of my certificate? Thanks!

Hi please update us on how your interview went! Hoping the best for you. -
I’m pretty sure it’s just oral, no multiple choice

My citizenship interview is literally 2 weeks from today! I think I’m good on the civic test but just wanted to confirm. for the questions that do NOT ask you to name one or two items, for example, what is the rule of law? there are 4 answers. Do we need to memorize all? Or just one. There are some questions in which they ask you to only name 1 or 2 answers but what about the ones that don’t ask you that? these are the questions I’m referring to: What does the Constitution do? ▪ sets up the government ▪ defines the government ▪ protects basic rights of Americans What did the Declaration of Independence do? ▪ announced our independence (from Great Britain) ▪ declared our independence (from Great Britain) ▪ said that the United States is free (from Great Britain) Under our Constitution, some powers belong to the federal government. What is one power of the federal government? ▪ to print money ▪ to declare war ▪ to create an army ▪ to make treaties Should we know all or just 1 answer?

I’m not asking about requesting a combo. Just wanting people to give me their experience at the local houston office if they had a combo interview and what documents they brought with them. -

Do you need to get the mailed ones or can you just download the transcript online? -

Hi there! I have an upcoming n400 interview in April. I also have a pending I-751. any recommended documents to bring?? did anyone have a combo interview recently?? Thanks!! -
Hi there! I filed for removal of conditions in sept 2021. SRC and then transferred to NBC. I’m having my N400 interview next month in Houston. My letter did not say anything about a combo interview. Should I mention it to the officer? Do you guys have a list of paperwork I need to bring to the N400 interview? Is it okay not to have a lawyer present?

I think uscis tried to send me the 48 month extension letter but then this happened. I did change my address a month ago. Has this happened to anyone? I already filled out to get the e-request. -
Hello! Has anyone who applied to remove conditions in 2020, 2021 or 2022 receive the newest extension letter? I applied in September of 2021 and haven’t gotten one yet.
