  1. Do we have to wait until May 17th, 2024 (3 years) to apply for N400, or can we do that 90 days before, just like we did for I-751 (Feb 17th)?"
  2. That's true. My wife holds an Indian passport, and I am quite certain it will not help. We are planning to travel to Chile, i just wish the i751 process was quicker 🥲, so she could user her GC to travel.
  3. I read on Reddit that a few people were denied entry to Mexico because their Green Card was expired and they didnt accept the extension letter. I also checked the websites of Nicaragua and Costa Rica, and they clearly state that they do not accept expired Green Cards or extension letters. . Have you tried it?
  4. Has anyone applied for a visa to a foreign country using their expired Green Card, extension letter, and foreign passport? If so how did it go? We are planning to apply for visas to several Central American countries, which are otherwise free with a valid Green Card
  5. Indian Passport 😢, so GC is the only way to enter Mexico and other Central American countries.
  6. Thank you so much. Now it makes more sense to not get the passport stamped. According to our current timeline, we won't get anything approved until the end of 2024. Canada specifically states that you can travel with an expired GC and an extension letter, but that's the only country that allows it. We actually want to travel to the UAE, Mexico, and, if possible, Costa Rica. However, these countries generally require a valid GC to enter, so we're not sure if they will accept the extension letter from USCIS
  7. How difficult is it to get the 48 month GC extension stamped on the passport? We are thinking of traveling to Mexico and read in reddit that few people had difficultly boarding flight to Mexico because their GC was expired and the agent/airlines didn't accept the extension letter. I heard its a hit or miss when it comes to travel using expired GC and extension letter except for Canada.
  8. No, Application should be under her green card name. When they ask about passport details put the name on the passport there. Thats how we did for ours, if i remember it correctly.
  9. Yes, we both got our Global entry card last month. Just use the name in her GC for global entry application. Once we did that the application went through. Hope this helps. Good luck
