Lona.C. got a reaction from kranthi143 in N-445, Notice of Naturalization Oath Ceremony
congrats on your Oath ,I completed the questionnaire a day or 2 before the ceremony just put the date of the Oath ,
as for the address at ..signed at.... I put the city where the Oath took place ( but that's also my home city )
Full Address & zip , I put my home address ,
they looked it over when I handed it to the Officer and said looks good then guided me to my seat ( we where over 140 applicants )

reason why you have to study all the 100 questions is because at the interview they will choose 10 random questions out of the 100 you have to have 6 right to pass the test ,
there will also be a reading and writing test , ( in my case was read 1 sentence and write 1 dictated sentence )
you have to study the n 400 application as they will ask you everything you filled out and all the yes/no questions ,
you will not be aloud to have the copy right in front of you during the Interview but you can have it in your bag and study while you wait to be called in ,
as well as the civic question booklet you can study as you wait in the waiting room
here are some links that helped me study for the test

I think it depends on the time of day and your post office.

Mine is from summer 2016, expedited application. I received mine on same day as I received the passport but I should note the passport was supposed to arrive two days earlier and USPS screwed up the delivery.

They're mailed back from separate offices. I would expect it to come back within a week or two of the passport. Don't panic yet!

Lona.C. reacted to charmander in [Question] N-400 Application for MA Resident
Most recent timelines report 3-4 months from filing to interview.
http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/citlist.php?op6=All&op7=Boston+MA&op1=&op2=&op4=1&op5=5%2C10%2C11&cfl=0
Some people don't update their timelines but just post on monthly threads. You need to find them manually by going through the monthly threads. Start checking from June/July 2017 threads.

It's possible their nearest ASC was in CT and they live in SW Mass. But for my bio I was asked to go to Revere, but then my interview was in Boston and my oath was in Boston. Sometimes you get punted to your nearest USCIS application support center for biometrics, even though the county you live in (which is not in the same county as Revere) is served by Boston.
I was a Boston filer. I applied in early May. Had my interview end of August, oath just recently on Sept 21 < that's my timeline. It too me 6 months and 17 days (201 days) from start to finish. Now some say Boston is quicker than most field offices, and I also don't know if my "case" is as a quick read as others or if my biometric results too a while to come in, or other variables that might not make my example of any help for comparison, but there ya go!

Still celebrating. Woohoo! Journey completed. You can color my timeline in red. Ceremony lasted 45 mins, we were only 40 new citizens and everything went soooo smooth. Thank you guys, from the bottom of my heart. I know we don’t know each other but I am really greatful to have been thru this exhausting journey with you.
Good luck to the rest, I really hope it will end soon.
Now, the passport process and done ✅

Thanks Lona. I did not wear jeans but there were a few people who did, including one wearing a T-shirt with the jeans (he looked presentable).
Thanks! Yours is right around the corner.

I think Blazer shirt and tie on jeans will be presentable , my husband had a nice shirt and slacks on ,
but I did see someone with jeans, shirt and tie , maybe make it a black jeans ?
but I would listen to the wife , not because am a woman but because like they say ( a happy wife makes a happy husband ) lol and also
again not my words but the saying goes the wife is always right , lol now imagine you are the only one in jeans you will hear it from your wife for years ,
friends gathering talking about your big day , and Bamm ( I know I would , lol ) yeah my babe was the original the one and only in jeans , lol
but take a look at some youtube gives you an idea how people dress https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=NY+neutalization+ceremony

even though the officer handed me the invite letter for the ceremony at my Interview ,
but yes it was one double sided page saying 1-3 ,
regards to the passport application I received the application in the white envelop they give you when you sign in at the Oath , there was no onside passport booth ,
I would not have used the passport booth if they had one ,
since I wanted to scan and print a copy, gave me a piece of mind of having at least a copy of the certificate before sending it out with the passport application

Hey lona, I actually got the oath letter. It's on oct 4😁😁😁

Lona.C. reacted to Private One in N-400 April 2017 Filers
I feel better knowing that there is no third page. Thanks for being more specific - yes, it's a single sheet but double sided. I've heard many people talk about submitting their passport application on the spot. I want to do the same. I believe there will be passport applications at the oath ceremony. I've heard that the Department of State is the agency responsible for accepting the application. I'm searching for more concrete. Please share if you find something before I do.
Thanks

from the bottom of my heart Thank you so very much for all the help during the last 11 years I have been getting here this site is truly amazing ,
Thank you Cazzer , private and everyone of the April fillers and people who helped and gave the support needed to go forward with this huge process
I am a US citizen YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH OMG I still cant believe it wow what a feeling I hope everyone will get to feel like I do very soon
The ceremony sure was something I will remember the rest of my life , it was a great event over 136 applicants from 46 countries
it was an outdoor event at a historic Armory park ( we where seated under a tent ) luckily the weather held up till the ceremony was over then the downpours started just as we drove out of the parking lot ,
we got there 1 hour before given time, right away it started as we had to lign up to give our old GC's and the invitation letter ( no passport needed )
handed us a welcome package with a little flag
they assigned us to our seats ( two rows of chairs front reserved for applicants back for visitors )
a USCIS Officer introduced him self and gave us the run down of the events process we had a young kid play the guitar for about 30 min
( and he was good ) then another young girl sang America the beautiful before the judge arrived ,
We had the park rancher give us a history about the park and how the hill we had our ceremony on was used in the war as a hide out from enemies ,very interesting story .
after the Ranchers speech our cities Major got up and said a few nice words and congratulated us all
the judge introduced him self made us stand up gave us the oath ,
said a few very encouraging words it was very happy emotional day at the end the girl sang the star spangled
( she was not older then 15 - 17 but what a voice that kid had , wow could put a lot of professional singers I seen on sports events to shame , lol )
they came row to row with our certificates called our names to stand up we had to make sure everything was correct on the cert ,
then we where able to go get some pics done with the major , the judge the park rancher and the other guest speakers , the whole ceremony lasted about 2 1/2 hours
what a day to remember for me and my husband
oh the news crew was there too but hardly anyone wanted to be on TV , lol
