Our Story
We met online in October 2005. By February of 2006 Yuibi came to the states to meet me in person and by March 2006 we were engaged! My family loves him to death- but I didn't get to meet his family until July 2006 when I traveled to Japan to be with him for a few months.
Our original plan was to get married in Japan and the live in the USA (since the processing time at the embassy was lightning fast), but the Child Protection Act was put into affect right before we were supposed to get married. So we had to scramble and reapply for the K-1 VISA (which was recieved April 09, 2007). We were approved at CSC on July 31, 2007, Interviewed on October 15, 2007, and married on November 10, 2007!
We applied for Adjustment of Status on January 18, 2008. Received our Green Card on June 04, 2008. Lifting Conditions has now been approved and were living out our life together happily. :)
