Advice on submitting N400 from out of state

I agree with you. I guess the issue in my case is I will be going on a very long vacation, which raises doubts. I appreciate everyone's input. I'm very grateful for this community. -
Advice on submitting N400 from out of state
YvetteS replied to YvetteS's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
This is plan B. I am just curious what my options are and the visa journey community has always been extremely helpful in helping me navigate through all this. Others have made valid points that I could be asked to provide biometrics within a week of applying, so Im really just weighing up my options at this point. -
Advice on submitting N400 from out of state
YvetteS replied to YvetteS's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
Thank you. I own my home in Arizona and it is our main place of residence. By definition does reside explicitly mean i have to be physically in the state prior to applying? Because it is my main place of residence, i just go to Australia for several months to see my family and so my son has a relationship with them, but i make sure I'm never gone for more than 180 days at a time. -
Hi everyone! My window to file my N400 (based on 3 year rule) is opening around the first week of December 2023. Here is my question... and PLEASE don't give me a hard time if this is a dumb question, here i go. I want to go to Australia to visit my family in September, but i want to go for a few months (less than 6 months). If i leave for Australia in September and then in December fly to Hawaii for a vacation and while Im thete submit my N400 online, before returning to Australia again, is that possible? I would then return to the mainland US when I get my interview scheduled/ before 180 days have lapsed. I am aware of the continuous residence requirement and the physical presence requirement. Thank you kindly for your input!

I-751 February 2023 Filers

Can anyone tell me how soon after filing I can expect to get my biometrics appointment. I filed in February, Texas Service Center and I never received a biometrics waiver notice. Thanks! -

I see many people have had fingerprints waived! So good! What does your case number start with? Mine is SRC and I am yet to hear anything about biometrics being re-used or a biometrics appointment letter. -

That is so awesome. Congrats. Is this fast to get biometrics? Or normal time frame? -

If it helps, I would wait too. I would hate to risk USCIS not being able to charge my card. Just keep a close eye on your transactions. -

That is a bizzare charge. I feel like it is unrelated to your USCIS application. For reference, it took USCIS over a week to charge my card after they received my package. So I want to say, don't freak out because it's still early days. I would question that charge though... Seems random to me. -

I was stressing my credit card would get declined too. That's very frustrating. The good news is you still have plenty of time to re-file. -

My conditional greencard expires March 4th 2023. I mailed in my ROC application on Friday 02/10/2023. I see a lot of people are planing to file much earlier in their 90 day window. Hopefully it won't cause any issues that I filed my ROC so late in my 90 day window. If anyone wants me to share what I submitted as evidence, let me know. Good luck to all February filers! -
How many utility bills to include
YvetteS replied to YvetteS's topic in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
Phew... Atleast I got the child part covered :D -
Hi all, I'm looking for some reassurance for the evidence I plan on submitting. I was able to get the last 2 years worth of joint electricity bills and last 12 months of joint water bills that I plan to submit. Do I need to go further back than only last 12 months with the water bills? I'm also submitting our sons birth certificate, titles of our house and car showing joint ownership of both, last 3 years of joint bank statements, joint tax transcripts since we got married. Amongst other things. Am I being silly worrying about whether i have enough water and electricity bills included or do they need to span the whole three years since we got married? It's just a pain because they don't go that far back online for me to access the statements. Your input is much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi all, I am just looking for some guidance on this. I understand the general rule of thumb is that you cannot be out of the US greater than 6 months if you wish to naturalize. Is this correct? What I would like to know is if there is any leniency with this? And if this is a hard and fast rule? A brief history: I married my US husband in March 2020 and have my conditional permanent residency now. This expires in March 2023. In August 2022 we went to Australia for an extended trip. We are still here now. We intend to return to the US in a couple months, but at that point I would have been out of the country greater than 180 days (but not by much). For context I have filed all taxes since becoming a PR and I own my home in the US, so I do have significant ties. I appreciate any guidance and to hear from anyone who has been able to naturalize despite being out of the US greater than 6 months at a time. Thank you.
