Arewa so you are done? Have you gotten an interview date yet? I was so hoping and praying my husband would be with me before the holidays, but with the embassy not opening until October, I don't know.

Yes, I'm done.. my interview was supposed to be for April 23, but Nigeria was on Lockdown by march ending... so i couldn't do the interview... now i have to wait for the Consulate and a new interview date, plus i have to re-do my medicals and all those neccessary things. It's tiring.

I'm sorry as well. This should make us all stronger. I had back surgery due to a fall. I was to have another one back in January. I decided not too. I rather continue to work (I do a sit down job now) do my ministry and be with my husband.

The Epidurals didn't do anything for my back. All it did was to cause me issues with my diabetes,  lol. In which I can honestly say caused my doctor to wonder why I was having problems with my glucose/A1C.

Since the pandemic, and I have refused the shots; I can say my A1C is a 5.7.. My husband had to take a plane to Lagos,  stay in a hotel,  get a known driver that his family trusted (during to it being you know) to taxi him around..

We tried to expedite last November,  lol; the embassy said that it was not fair to others. I would agree to asense. Others, had been waiting for before us. My therapist,  my surgeon,  and my doctor felt I needed to have another back surgery. On a a sale of 1-10; my pain is off the charts. I have learned to live with it and cry a lot.

They gave me morphine pills (7), never again will I ever ever take anything of that nature ever. I take gabapentin, ibuprofen and  muscle relaxers. They put me to sleep I don't dont the last one until night time.

But they're saying Melissa have another surgery to correct what the surgeon done I will have this thing. But enough about this maybe I should have wrote you a private message, lol...

I'm so sorry you're going through all these alone, it's really hard and depressing to say the least. The Lord is your strength, keep staying strong. All will be well

You're not alone I promise. I miss my husband so much. All this waiting is cruelty at its best.  We've been DQ'd since early June and still nothing on an interview date. It is so frustrating! Sending you hugs from Alabama! Let's just keep praying things will resume soon.🙏🙏

    Amen 🙏🙏🙏🥰

You are actually not alone my dear, I got married last year and all my documents got qualified May 22nd this year. . .  Since then, we have not heard from the Consulate in Lagos.  My wife is a U.S citizen. So far my wife she has been calling to know what's up. And I can tell you that you are right on track! 😊😊  Make you no fear abeg, once the Consulate reopens, they'll first start to attend to the backlogs of interview they have.

So, to calm your nerves. I advice all of us take our mind off interview for now,  because even when they commence,  they'll start with those whose appointments were cancelled or pending.

NOTE: The Ban does not affect IR1 or CR1.

(Even the Naija sef don tire me because I wan run! 😂😂  abeg no interpret am for anybody oh..).

Patience and prayers dear, just know that you are right on Track. I'm also CR1.

    Wishing you all the best!

    It is well 😂

The US Embassy in India have updated their visa information page to include the mission-critical visa services point on June, 25th under the News and Events. Hopefully we also receive some good news on the Embassy considering Spouse visa as "Mission-Critical" and schedule interviews soon:thumbs:
