  1. Just checking in on the Argentina ROC filers that are still pending. @Fla&Mark and @KBCN Didn't you apply? Where are you at in the process?
  2. I would then submit the affidavits from friends and family like @OldUser said. The longer they have known you the better. Also, FYI, in our case, we got them notarized. In your case, it might be worth getting them notarized.
  3. Hi! If you are not aware, they are not the strongest evidence to submit. However, I do know that some people add them just to have some extra information or as a confirmation to people they have within the packet/pictures they are submitting. This would be helpful for you: https://citizenpath.com/how-to-write-an-i-751-affidavit/ We included hefty evidence that was strong evidence (for financial commingling and living together). But, we also included a few (do not over do it with affidavits) from family and friends. However, we were intentional with whom we chose to add affidavits. They were specific people that were also throughout our pictures, so we believed having them in pictures and the affidavits made both items stronger together than the weight they have alone. For example, we had affidavits from two friends that were both our wedding witnesses (signed the marriage license), they also were witnesses to our living wills, they are the parents to our godchildren, and we had plenty of pictures with them throughout our marriage. Best of luck!
  4. Yeah, we will not be doing any more. We are waiting on the new extension letter. Then, we will think whether or not we will apply for N400 before 751 is approved.
  5. You will be getting a new extension letter in the next 1-2 months that extends the GC for 48 months. You won’t need the stamp. Also, if you file the N400 in September-October, you will probably get citizenship before the 48-month extension expires.
  6. No, not at all. We know we are in for the long haul. But, we haven’t even heard about the biometrics appointment.
  7. Guess what?! My third inquiry has expired with no response. SHOCKER! 😨 Anyways, it appears they are still working on cases from 2020 in Potomac. LOL Sigh.. Maybe if we just camp out by the front door?
  8. They don't "lose" it. Sometimes they just issue a new biometrics appointment, it is normal. Nothing to worry about. They just choose to do that sometimes. As always, no logical process with USCIS or pattern.
  9. Third inquiry expires in 3 days and nothing on biometrics. Called Infopass and it did not yield any results. We are in the waiting game. Meanwhile, other cases are getting approved in 6 months. SMH.
  10. Oh, man, USCIS is just all over the place - even more than usual.
  11. Third inquiry for biometrics expires in 8 days, no response. LOL Meanwhile, just keep swimming through life making other changes and plans because clearly ROC ain't happening soon. Haha So much for the six month low-risk approach. Only MSC and just a few lucky ones.
  12. We are the same and will not be doing N400 in September just because. I don’t want to pay more money within a year to shake it loose. To each their own, but I’d rather wait.
  13. Apparently, there isn’t. But, I can create one. Just message me privately your numbers. Thanks!
  14. https://www.ssa.gov/ssnumber/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIgMeC3cnl_AIV1tKGCh0ZzA2xEAAYASAAEgJKHvD_BwE Fill the application via that, but don’t do it as a mailed-in. Just fill the application and it will ask you to bring everything to the office. No need to print the form, just bring your personal documents - it will tell you what to bring.
  15. If they do, you will only be without it for 2 weeks. Just make a copy of it and have a copy of the form to have while you wait. It will show what the card looked like and why you no longer have it but that you applied to update it
  16. If I recall correctly, they didn’t keep ours. Also, if your office has two sides or offices, you need to ask which one you need to go to for updating the card. It varies by state.
  17. Did you submit inquiries? Or anything that would have made them “act quicker”? I know there are filers from 2020 that are still waiting. You mentioned you are going to do N400 next, so I know it was not that.
  18. Go to your local SSA office and apply for the number to get updated. You could do it online, but it requires you to mail in your GC, which no one would recommend to do. You can do the form online, submit it, and then go to the local office (I did ours the same day) or you can fill out the paper form while you wait in line. Just make sure you fill out the form specifically saying that you are updating your card not that you need a new SSN. You can find the local office here: https://www.ssa.gov/locator/ I would do it now before your GC expires. There are states that won’t let you do it if you are close to the the expiration date (i.e a week or days).
  19. I think you are the only other person that is waiting like us and is not wanting to “shake the 751 loose” by applying for N400. Keep us posted!
  20. No, but I will. Anyone currently waiting that received an NOA for 24 months will be getting a new one for 48. So, don’t be alarmed when you get yours. New filers will also get them.
  21. It is a fact. I wish it was a joke because USCIS IS A JOKE. I just has to laugh about it because my husband and I are slowly becoming senile about this whole mess. Haha
