  1. Hey, sorry if I’m asking this question again. But, what’s the visa they receive to come to the U.S.? I understood that you and your wife petitioned them to come live here, I think they will receive a temporary visa to come here and then receive a G.C - in this situation I don’t think that would be able to travel back. But, if it’s a tourist visa usually they could come here for 2 days leave back, and return to U.S in September without problem. I had the same issue few years ago, I sent an email to the embassy explaining that I was graduating and by the college rules, I needed to participate of the celebration process. So, the embassy didn’t help me anyway
  2. I just had my interview less than a month ago, and my spouse went with me. I received two notifications, the first letter was about my naturalization form N-400 and it did not say that my spouse was necessary to be present. But, the second notification came saying that I was having a combo interview, and the spouse should be present if we were still married or if not, show proof of divorce (the 797 notice had a printed sheet saying about the combo interview, uncomfortable I don't have this document because stayed with the IO, and I was excited about being approved and didn't notice that). The officer started saying that he was conducting a combo interview, the first was the ROC and my spouse could answer any of his questions, but during the second interview N-400 he should stay quiet and only I could answer. About documents that he asked for and were not in the letter listing: my spouse's birth certificate and deed/mortgage documents showing that we both owned our home. IMO: Your wife should go to the interview to support you, is the last phase that you have to do on your immigration process, also as part of the ROC requirement is her be present to them do any questions if necessary. Otherwise, is a red flag to the immigration officer.
  3. I just had my combo interview a week ago. And, you will need to take your spouse to the interview with you. I can’t tell how will be in your interview, but I had both interviews with my husband in the room. First, the office said that he was conducting a combo interview and my husband was allowed to answer only during the I-751 interview. He made couple questions to my husband. Asked for his birth certificate, and if we have any property with deed or mortgage showing both of us name. After a few questions to me, he started the second interview, very friendly officer. After the reading/writing test and the civics tests, he reviewed my N-400 and said I was approved, then scheduled my ceremony in 2 days. Good Luck.
  4. Hello everyone, I just had my naturalization ceremony today. I applied for my N-400 on August 15. Notification of interview schedule on January 8. The interview was scheduled for February 27. Naturalization Ceremony on February 29. FYI: Based on 3 years Marriage rule and Office in Oakland Park Florida. Good Luck to you all and thanks for sharing all your experiences here.
