  1. He cannot make a thing to get you deported. But, he can make the removal of conditions very difficult. So start gathering every piece of evidence that proves you married in good faith and file for divorce. Tagging @mindthegap to see what she can advise.
  2. If it was after an RFE then the chances of being transferred to your local office increase - we were transferred to our local office a week after responding to a request for evidence-. Let's hope it is all for you to be approved very soon.
  3. You should receive a notification soon. It sounds to me that it might have been a different service center to process your case "faster". In general, when it is transferred to your local office the status reads "case transferred and another office has jurisdiction" and soon after it changes to "case is ready to schedule an interview". Keep checking the status as anything - or nothing- could happen.
  4. Absolutely. You will definitely be questioned by CBP and depending on their findings, they could consider you abandoned your permanent resident status.
  5. Meanwhile, our not IOE case filed ages ago is somewhere becoming a nice home for spiders. *crying immigration tears
  6. Check reviews from the specific embassy. You might find out if it is allowed. https://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=United+Kingdom&cty=&dfilter=5
  7. I got a visa without applying for it. They even asked me how many I wanted and which kind. Trust me, I'm a stranger on the internet.
  8. You can check on your own here for free: https://acis.eoir.justice.gov/en/
  9. Weirdest question ever. So you want to "keep" them but out of status. #shocked
  10. I see you have financial proof which seems to be good - from that joint account, include ALL the statements-. Do you have any proof of cohabitation? A lease with both names on it, mail addressed to both, ID's for each with the shared address on it?
  11. You shouldn't. Is that the only time you've met?
  12. So glad we both have the same reliable sources when it comes to the apocalypse and its undeniable signs.
  13. You must have the email confirmation and/ or the transaction from when you purchased the flights. And you should not worry much. The requirement is that you met; you fulfill it and you're providing evidence.
  14. I think that "attorneys" giving advice on tik tok is one of the first signs of the apocalypse.
  15. F1 preference is a year behind F2B. And no one can guarantee you'll be done with K1 by the end of the year. In addition, money is not the only issue with a K1. You won't be able to travel abroad until AP or the conditional GC is approved. And believe me, having to gather evidence, pay hefty fees - that will likely increase- and wait for who knows how long for something you could have gotten if you went another route, is more stressful than what you imagine now. A K1 is not just sitting and waiting for a GC.
  16. Even if your K1 was approved before the I-130, you still have to go through NVC, medical exam, visa appointment and interview and visa approval. And that would just grant you entry to the US. Then you need to marry, go through adjustment of status and wait again to be granted a conditional green card. And two years after approval you must go through removal of conditions, wait more and finally get the 10 year GC. Stick to the I-130 your dad filed. You would get your green card without the extra hassle the K1 would bring.
  17. I guess you mean you will file the case this August? If so, you need to get those documents and send them with your form. A few pictures and conversations about divorce have basically zero value. Even filing with a divorce waiver, sending evidence of a bonafide marriage is required.
  18. Just three days ago I was wondering when those extended deadlines would end.
  19. Cases are transferred to less backlogged centers to make the process "faster" or to schedule an interview.
  20. Found this: "If you live outside of Lebanon: You should assign a relative (spouse, sibling, parent, or child over 18 years of age) who is living in Lebanon power of attorney and ask them to submit a request letter on your behalf to the commander of the judicial police. They must apply in person and bring: -Power of Attorney -Copy of your passport -Copy of your residency permit for Lebanon (if available) -A letter from you stating: •Your residential address when you lived in Lebanon •Information about your employment/employer while in Lebanon (or the. school you attended) •How long you lived in Lebanon (give exact dates: from (blank) to (blank)) -Applicable fees The commander will forward your request to the criminal record department where your relative who submitted the letter can obtain the criminal record. For more information, visit the ISF Interior Security Forces website."
  21. If when attending the interview a required document is missing, the IO will issue an RFE for said document. What you could do is get your MIL print the information provided by the embassy and present it when the officer asks for it. If possible, start the process to obtain the police clearance and get her present proof of that.
