  1. If you are adjusting status from the F1 to GC, you should have filed the I-131 for her to be able to travel. As you didn't, if she leaves, AOS will be considered abandoned.
  2. This case is not related to ours but it is great that you post an update. Thanks on behalf of those who will find this useful at some point.
  3. Send a private message. They should receive a notification and might come back to answer you.
  4. Well, if it was online, then the lawyer uploaded the files. Just tell her to get a translation WITH the certification and upload it.
  5. Well, if it is the approval it would be beyond impressive! I do agree with @OldUserthough: must be a second extension. Maybe a 60 month one? 😜
  6. What?! Did the lawyer made a copy of the RFE? Was the case filed online? Did the lawyer send the exact same original and translation as before?
  7. Anywhere. You don't even need to pay a company to do so. A friend, relative or even you can translate if them/ you are fluent. Now, if you already paid someone to do the translation, they should fix it for free.
  8. The visa process was not even completed, so it cannot be considered refused. Meaning, IMO, that you do not need to check the "refused visa" box.
  9. Very likely that's the issue as it is a requirement for a translation: the translator must sign a certification that the English language translation is complete and accurate, and that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language into English.
  10. How much did you pay for the WoM? And congratulations on receiving your visa.
  11. Not that I want to scare you - and the cases I'm talking about were not for naturalization- but there have been members whose cases were denied after rescheduling because in the system it appeared as if they did not attend the interview. Of course, those are the ones that post in the forum because they had an issue. Many must reschedule and everything is fine. My point is that one should do everything to minimize the risks. For instance: we are still waiting for an interview to be scheduled and we definitely don't want to reschedule, so we book two week vacations, two weeks in advance.
  12. I know, so unnerving to have them messing up such important matters. Agree the RFE feels like at least they are doing something. Do you have informed delivery?
  13. You posted recently about it, didn't you? In our personal experience, the RFE delayed our case a month. I am guessing the RFE is for the missing page? USCIS instead of trying to find it, is asking you to send it again.
  14. If I'm understanding correctly: your case was approved, sent to NVC and returned to USCIS because they noticed a page was missing. And on top of that, they sent you an RFE?
  15. In our experience, you receive a letter a month prior the interview, so I wound plan based on that. I personally would not postpone/ reschedule interview, though if it happens when you're traveling, you might have no choice.
  16. I think you are misunderstanding the request and overthinking - understandable as one wants to avoid any mistake in such a relevant process-. Whoever did the instructions, assumed the applicant lives in his/ her own country when filing, so they assumed both the name and address will be in the applicant's native language. Not your case though, so as you just said, write her name in Japanese and address in Roman letters.
  17. I actually use it for very commendable endeavors, such as stalking exes.
  18. No. The issue is just with Chrome for Android. Oh well!
  19. That is SO WEIRD. Call customer service and/ or file an e-request here: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do
  20. That's odd. Pay the fee, schedule and keep checking a few times a day to see if an earlier slot opens, because I think you can change dates once you schedule.
