  1. Sounds like it! And I think I can speak for all readers: we'd love to read some of those stories. I didn't know about the scanners issues until a few months ago, so now I try to make sure they no longer use the ones where they can basically see you completely naked and exposed. BTW, read somewhere (not sure if reliable) that TSA agents have codes to "flag" hot/ good looking passengers.
  2. I want to disable email notifications for personal messages but I can't. It seems both options are activated by default and cannot be changed.
  3. Really? Not that I doubt what you're saying now but the use of the word "miraculous" sounded more like sarcasm to me. And if the master's degree is serious, it definitely requires a level beyond writing short paragraphs in a public forum.
  4. Based on CBP officer's discretion not a specific policy, which is exactly what I said in my initial post. The length of both the visa and stay are defined case by case, not per country.
  5. That's not an official source. Is there a policy that states so?
  6. For tourists with a B1/B2 visa, which is OP's case, it is six months.
  7. Maximum length of stay is 6 months; the exact length will be defined by the CBP officer. She will very likely be asked: who is she visiting, where is she staying, what are her plans during her stay, the length of her visit and proof of her return. Where is she from?
  8. It was a snarky remark at your level of English. The person that posted cannot believe you have learnt so much in 9 months -called it miraculous- and thinks you do not need to come back to the US to learn more -actually thinks you're ready to teach English rather than learn it, given the command you've shown on your posts-. Whoever commented is basically implying that you might want to come back to the US not necessarily to pursue a degree but to immigrate.
  9. It might take a few weeks for the case to reach NVC, be processed and then sent to the Embassy/Consulate. But you can contact NVC to see if they already assigned a case number.
  10. For NYC: https://agriculture.ny.gov/animals/companion-animals For the UK: https://www.gov.uk/taking-your-pet-abroad/travelling-to-a-noneu-country#:~:text=If you're travelling to,tell you how to apply. (Though I think it does not apply as you're traveling to the Netherlands first) For the Netherlands (just in case): https://www.government.nl/topics/holidays-and-travels/question-and-answer/can-i-bring-a-pet-from-another-country-to-the-netherlands
  11. That's awesome! Cheaper and better to have your cat right there flying with you.
  12. To know which field office you were interviewed at, look it up based on your zip code back then: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-a-uscis-office/field-offices You can file the I-90 now -which is the urgent one- and then file for citizenship 3 months after you move. The average estimated times that USCIS publishes are just for reference; as I said, there are reports of GC replacements being produced in literally a few weeks. And you are still your husband's sponsor unless he's already worked 40 quarters -10 years- or until he naturalizes.
  13. 1. Class of admission: CR6 2.&3. Embassy or consulate where the interview happened 4. If you don't have the GC image you can file a FOIA requesting one or upload the police report in its place. 5. If you have the address where you will live in Florida, use that one and file a little before you move -some I-90 have been processed in a few weeks-. I suggest that because if you use current address and then change it, they might send the card to the old one.
  14. My two cents: The omnipresence of this person increases division and keeps the moneys moving for supporters and detractors alike -the amount of videos, articles and posts devoted to this person is insane-. The more attention we pay, the more effective it is. That in addition to the smokescreen quality of the whole phenomenon.
  15. No risks whatsoever. What you could do, if it is still cheaper, is booking the return one as far as possible. That way you can go back home in a few months.
  16. Sorry to say I was unable to find it, but it was in one or two of the MANY airlines I checked. After listing all requirements it would say "pets to/from UK no service available" or something similar.
  17. It just says it is restricted - no specific reasons given-.
  18. Thought you checked with all the airlines, but seems you didn't. So I checked myself and it seems that the only choices are flying with Air Canada or flying to another European country from the UK and then fly to the US from there - found restrictions on flying with pets from/ to the UK directly to the US-.
  19. What do you mean? Find out if you paid the fees? You should know if you paid the fees; my guess is you didn't. Pay them here: https://my.uscis.gov/uscis-immigrant-fee/enter-data And read this: https://my.uscis.gov/uscis-immigrant-fee
  20. As your wife is the US now, the interview will happen at your local USCIS office. https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-a-uscis-office/field-offices
