  1. That will probably delay the issuance of the visa for a year as a rehab program is required.
  2. So you just visited the US and went back to Canada, right? And you are planning on moving back to the US at some point, but not sure when. The I-131 MUST be filed within the US prior a planned stay abroad of over one year in order to preserve the LPR status. In your case you've been out nine years and counting - that's one long PhD! Is that dissertation close to completion?-. My guess is that as a Canadian, you're still allowed entry as a tourist. And there is also the option to surrender permanent residence and "switch" to visitor.
  3. So that was the missing page that caused the delay. Unbelievable how they are so good at losing documents -and even single pages-. Sending all the best vibes towards you and hoping everything moves fast.
  4. They require two things from you: 1. Evidence that the marriage was in good faith. Financial commingling documents: bank account statements, shared bills, 401k, life insurance, etc. Shared residence documents: ID's or mail with same address, lease or deed, etc. Shared plans documents: will, power of attorney, health care directive, etc. Shared life documents: boarding passes from trips, cards from family, photographs together, etc. 2. Evidence that the petitioner -you- is a US citizen or an LPR. Copy of passport or citizenship certificate if US citizen Copy of green card if LPR
  5. You're currently in Spain, right? If so, after taking the TOEFL there, your university would receive the scores and you'd be able to start the master's as soon as you arrive to the US instead of wasting time at the language school. The master's is the program you actually received the visa for.
  6. Hi, how is everything going? Any good news? What was your RFE about?
  7. That is beyond unacceptable! And I wish it was illegal. I'm truly sorry you're both going through this. Absolutely absurd to wait two years for a decision on removal of conditions after the interview. Did you file an e-request to inquire? Hope they literally RUSH the N-400; it is the least they should do. Sending all the best vibes for you and your wife.
  8. No, it has an impact on the perception of the members who read you and are willing to honestly help you. It is an odd mistake that can lead us to think you might be lying about that and other details regarding your case. BTW, why don't you take the TOEFL in Spain?
  9. Same account, different age. (I knew he stated he was 33 initially, thanks for pointing out). What's going on here @Jose1028?
  10. Didn't know what this was about and I decided to Google it. I SO VERY MUCH REGRET IT. Maybe next time include a ⚠️? Need to book some emergency therapy session now.
  11. That hubby of yours! Poor TSA agents having to deal with chocolate and ketchup 😅 -though they might have to deal with worse? don't even want to imagine what-. I never thought that job would make them so miserable. Guess I fell for the widespread idea that they enjoy having some power over people and controlling things. Certainly touching random strangers is not appealing AT ALL.
  12. Why don't you take the TOEFL in Spain? That way you can come back to the US directly to do your master's.
  13. What I personally find odd is the University not requiring TOEFL score prior acceptance.
  14. Thing is that access to school A now depends on "performance" at school B.
