  1. Tell the prompt 'infopass' when you call USCIS. Cause that's what you need to do. Travel back to the US before the 23rd and get an infopass appointment to get a stamp in your passport. That's not confusing at all. Something many people do.
  2. Did you checked that you'll keep your SOFA status when he moves? I might be wrong but I think you'll loose it. So that would be the point to start.
  3. To be fair it shows that we're all super interested but unfortunately no real help with that subject. @Kanja gave some good pointers on the first page as to what to include in the letter and I hope OP can come back with an update at some point cause that would really help us to help others.
  4. 1. Sometimes things get lost. Just send a new intent to marry? Did you initially sent one from you and one from him? What did it say? Did you followed the example here on VJ? 2. So you don't meet the meeting requirements and tried to get it waived? What did you send initially to request the waiver? What country/ religion/ culture are we talking about? Just asking so others might be able to chime in.
  5. So what exactly do you want to achieve? I don't see an expedite happen in your situation. Like you said, you could go back to the US whenever. You could try for an expedite because of financial reasons. Saying that the burden of two households to support is not feasible and getting her to the US quicker would relieve that burden especially now with the situationwith your mom. But don't get your hopes up too high that it will be approved. You filed for a K1 but saying she's your spouse. If you're married that's the wrong visa. If you're not married stop calling her your spouse cause that can go horrible wrong with immigration 😉
  6. Dang you're just a tad too late to jump directly to naturalization. Once the ROC window opens you have to do it 🙈
  7. If you mean by that putting it on a pile and not think about it for the next 18 months then yea, you're right 🤣🤣😉
  8. But you also did a CR1 visa or a K1? All of that can be handled at the consulate. Your friend don't need to worry about it. Or they can message the IV unit if they want to make sure.
  9. You'll interview in Frankfurt? Have you been told to schedule your appointment yourself? That's usually only done for K1 visas and CR1 gets a date from NVC like your friend did.
  10. This might be helpful: Since your spouse will go through the process overseas ( he can surely visit but not wait it out in the US ) you don't need to worry about the I-765 and I-693. The I-864 will be needed later in time, yes.
  11. Sounds good to me. No binders or folders. Paper clips are ok. Or just a rubber band Yea another Vermont filer 🥳
  12. Delivered is the last step for USPS. There won't be a pick up update on tracking even with signature required. Do not resend at this point. Many have been this 'dumb' before 😉😁
  13. It's the first step in the process for Venezuelans https://www.uscis.gov/venezuela
  14. You're really going all in here 🤣 Hope you find your key soon 😊
  15. You're already registered in deers as his spouse? Or is that the problem that he's trying to do it and they give him the run around? If so he needs to escalate it as high as needed cause they can use a placeholder just like anybody else except for the IRS. And you mean PCS orders right? Deployments are unaccompanied and nobody is going to add a dependent to it SSN or not. If you're really talking about on overseas PCS than you'll also have to go through the EFMP screening before you can get command sponsored and added to his orders.
  16. You know you have to pay out of pocket to do that right? Plus you have to follow the visa regulations of the country he's deploying to and probably won't be able to stay the whole time. Plus deployments usually don't include much downtime so you might not be able to see him regularly. In know y'all in love and want to be together but that doesn't make much sense 🤗😘
  17. Nobody is going to ask anymore after your spouse has the visa approved and unless you separate and she applies for things she shouldn't nobody will contact your dad for money either. Also there is no updating on the sponsor part.
  18. Unless he gives up citizenship he'll have to file taxes in the US. And just because he moves doesn't mean he wouldn't be able to support anymore. He could transfer money just fine no matter where he lives.
  19. So you're living in the US? Have your uncle write an affidavit that you're living with him. What about a drivers license with your current address? Proof of domicile is not about owning a house. CR-1 visas are for family reunification in the US. That's why they want to see that you actually life in the US. That's all it is.
  20. From what you're saying it doesn't sound like an DCF ( like indicated in your status ) but the normal consular processing. Is that correct? Where did you asked for an expedite? It has to be done at every step of the way. USCIS, NVC and embassy. You have to ask each of them for an expedite. So if you asked USCIS for an expedite it doesn't mean a thing for the embassy.
  21. It's probably your receipt notice. They don't come from the actual service center.
  22. You have to meet before you file otherwise you have no grounds for filing. And yes, boarding passes and stamped passports from both of you will show that you have been together. Your dad can move just fine. Yes he'll have to update his address but he doesn't have to show evidence of his income anymore after your future spouse has immigrated. It's important what's current at the time of the interview not what could happen in the future.
