  1. Hello everyone, question one of my friend is looking to adopt her 16 years old nephew from Pakistan. How can she bring him to US. She’s a US citizen it’s her biological nephew he lost his mother at very young age and she wants to adopt him and bring him here. Anyone with experience or idea please advise about the process and if it’s possible. Thank you!
  2. Hello guys update. My husband had interview today. I did go to the interview with him and was allowed in the shuttle but not inside the embassy. There were a lot of petitioners there with spouse or parents but were not allowed inside. they didn’t ask him much questions only a few questions about where I live and about our son. My husband took our passports with him. They only checked our original birth certificates and marriage certificates. he was told by the counselor it’s approved and he’ll receive his passport in two weeks. online it says AP processing I hope it’s not one of those lengthy process.
  3. Thanks I was hoping to go with him since I’m here anyway.
  4. Question anyone know if my son and I can attend my husband interview at the US embassy Islamabad?
  5. You just need to update your i864 and if you had a joint sponsor they also need to update i864 update tax return transcript and w2, paystubs or employment verification letter.
  6. My domicile has not changed. I still live there I’m only here for visit. I have health insurance car insurance everything active. my brother in law will be combining his income with his wife my sister (joint sponsor). My husband is the applicant.
  7. They are married. Plus her income is good enough on her own but since ge got a job and it will make the total household income more that’s why I asked. The only problem is they have not filed taxes together yet as he just moved there and got ssn etc.
  8. I was not able to see it in the thread I posted. I need the post to be in the progress and procedures not the progress and reports section. How do I move to that one?
  9. I posted it on the wrong one. That’s why I reposted it
  10. I have a few questions. My husband interview is coming up next month. I’m in Pakistan with my husband and our baby. I been here since the last three months. I left my job in September. My sister will be my joint sponsor and her husband will complete i864A. 1. They have not filed taxes together yet, husband just moved to US and got a job? 2. I had good income in the last few years but currently not working will that affect our chances of him getting a visa? 2. Is 41000 good income for a joint sponsor, her husband and my husband? If the joint sponsor’s husband never filed taxes what documents should he provide with i864A? again her husband just moved to the US last month and got a part time job and is willing to combine income with wife to sponsor my husband.
  11. Thank you very much. I want to be 100% prepared. It’s been a long wait.
  12. received my interview letter finally. Alhumdullah. Dq may 19 22. Interview is on Feb 7. My question is I have not filed my tax and would not be able to by the time interview comes should I just upload 2023 W2 and bring to the interview? And update i864?
  13. Did you divorce decree had any gold seals or just stamp? I didn’t get original because they said you only get certified copies in California. It’s the two forms you get from county when everything is finished.
  14. Hopefully he will get his interview letter in January for interview in Feb. our DQ is May 2022
