  1. So, did they scheduled it already and you wait for Oath ceremony ? Or do you wait it to be scheduled?
  2. Great ! Are you in a big city ? 🙂 I had my interview a week before you and still waiting for the Oath to be scheduled.
  3. No, I’m talking about big cities like NYC, Chicago etc .
  4. Do you wait for Oath ceremony to be scheduled too ? How long - if you’re willing to share ?
  5. Hello ! Congratulations! I wonder why it takes so long for them to schedule Oath ceremony? I see some people wait 10 days and more to get one .
  6. Congratulations! You’re so lucky to have the same day ceremony.
  7. I’m not rude . I said if it’s not W-2 work, then the applicant needs a proofs that he paid his self employed taxes. I already heard about two cases where people were asked to show the tax scrips and payments proof . One of them had 4-5 months delay in her case after the interview, because she didn’t bring it to the interview. She has a company who provide services applying for a different types of visa, green card lottery, etc , and even she didn’t know that. So I really suggest all people who are self employed / business owners considering bring this documentation just in case .
  8. Oh really? Then, maybe you know better than immigration officers who ask about proof of payments after checking the actual paper tax transcript.
  9. Congratulations! I wonder how long it takes now to schedule Oath ceremony?
  10. May I please ask when did they place you line ( or when did you have an interview)? I wonder how long it takes them to schedule an Oath after the interview?
  11. If you / your spouse work for W-2 and got a refund it’s because your taxes deducted from your paychecks , however , people get a refund without paying any taxes ( dependents - kids, small income ).
  12. I would also take a proof that your taxes was paid for at least 2023 ( bank statements where it shows if it’s not W-2 work ).
  13. Yes, I guess that what the usually do before interview. Now we know )
  14. Yes, actually I received my email 3 hours before my interview. At that moment I thought they canceled or rescheduled my interview. Since I’m very superstitious, I’ll provide more information about interview ( it wasn’t easy) when I get a response from them.
  15. Thanks. Yes, I did check everything. What I thought- we received this message when they actually open our case and started working on it. I‘ll update more information when I get it .
  16. Hi! Does anyone know what it means if I Received "We have taken an action in your case" email ? No information on the website at my profile.
  17. Did anyone have issue with using stylus pen in the interview? I just tried at home on my iPad, and I don’t like it all. Can I ask them to write on a paper with a regular pen instead ? 🙂
  18. I plan also to bring my birth certificate and for kids also ( if you have any) , social security number ; traffic tickets ( paid or dismissed). Marriage certificate for sure . Not sure about VAWA 🤔 probably not, I guess they have it already. Good luck with your interview!
  19. I wonder why does Social security office need to know , what is the difference? 🤔
  20. Thank you . Is a screenshot from .gov website saying my tickets were dismissed would be enough?or should I go to dmv or something?
  21. Thank you .I wasn’t sure if I need to include it since both tickets were dismissed, and then I simply forgot about it because I thought I should provide information about the last 5 years only.
  22. Hi ! I just realized that for question 23- I replied No, but I have 2 DiSMISSED tickets more than 7 years ago . One for - “ no standing “, and the another one - red light violation ( I turned right on yellow/ red ). Do these tickets means citations?? I received it by mail, Police didn’t stop me to write it. Do I need to mention it during the interview? Do I need any proofs , and where to get it ?
  23. I hope they will not ask 🙂 However , just recently I heard the story where they did ask older lady with very bad English what this means, and she didn’t know. She didn’t pass the test . Couple months after she tried again after learning the meaning of these words and she passed. I guess it’s depends. Maybe they ask if a person doesn’t speaks English good enough.
