  1. Thanks for the feedback. I'm a U.S. citizen but I'm the petitioner and the IR2 (child) applicant is my stepdaughter. She has her own case.
  2. Thanks for the feedback. We recieved notice that we were doc qualified back in June 2022. Then they gave us an interview date of 21-July-2023 and notified us on 19-May-2023.
  3. Hello all, I have 2 questions but first let me layout all the important details...I submitted an I-130 for my wife and another for my stepdaughter in August 2019. USCIS approved the I-130 petitions in April 2020. I filled out, signed and uploaded 1 I-864 into CEAC May 2020. I did not "Submit Documents" until much later due to a custody case that we were waiting on for our daughter. (Biological father has never been in the picture or helped out regardless of how much my wife tried. So he lost custody in 2021, which he never exercised to begin with.) All of our documents were approved and documentarily qualified in May 2023. Our visa appointment is in Ciudad Juarez, Mex on 21-Jul-2023. So, I've had 3 tax seasons in between that time. The I-864 has an "expired" expiration date. I used 1 I-864 for both my wife and our daughter. Questions: Expired I-864: Should I complete, sign and upload another document into CEAC? Or should I complete and sign an updated one so that my wife can hand carry it juuuuust in case they ask for a recent one? We have all of my tax documents for the last few years already. I cannot find where I read that 1 I-864 would be good for both of them. Even though the forms have been documentarily qualified, should I fill out one for my daughter? The one i uploaded to CEAC was the same one I did for her mother. If I should complete a second one.....upload it? or have it on hand in case they ask? Thanks in advance!!!!
  4. Thank you for sharing. We are in the same exact situation in Jalisco. Nothing available in May 2023.
  5. Does anyone know the restrictions on the police background reports? We were ordered to obtain one in 2021. Then again we were ordered to obtain another one in 2022. Are they only subject to one year? The one my wife has will expire the day before our appointment.
  6. Thank you Vicky's Mom. As it turns out we just left this blank because there was no asterisk noting a required field. Do you know if we need to bring that receipt to the interview? The state website says no but maybe it's a good idea.
  7. Is the NVC case invoice number the same as the DS-260 id number? They are asking for this when registering our appointment.
  8. Hello All, We just recieved our interview dates for my wife and stepdaughter. The dates are scheduled about 2 months out and it's to be in Ciudad Juarez. Finding an acceptable vaccine (one that is acceptable by CDC and/or FDA) is proving to be more difficult than I imagined. It's not safe traveling around Mexico so I would rather not do it. Has anyone been able to use the waiver for their medical examination prior to the interview in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico? Can they provide a full series in the form of a single dose vaccine at the medical examination? My brother in law had to do a mix and match vaccine last year to re-enter on his B type visa, but even then the airline turned him away at first. I need this to be as smooth as possible. Thanks in advance.
