  1. Hi folks. So I had my oath ceremony last week, and I still haven’t signed my certificate. I’m a bit confused because the little note that cane with the packet says: “must sign your certificate, in cursive, on the line indicated using your full and complete name, exactly as it appears on your photo and certificate” and on the certificate itself says: ”Complete and true signature of holder “ However, I have undergone a name change which changed my First and Middle names. My signature on my photo not only reflects my old name, but it’s just a scribble of my initials and not at all a complete name. And one last thing, I intend to keep the scribbly style of my previous signature, changing only to my new initials, for all future documents. Please help! 😭 thank you!
  2. Update: I got my oath ceremony schedule notice (online, not yet in the mail) a few days ago and it’s in less than a month.
  3. hey everyone, i apologize if this isn't allowed but I saw that the Name Change forum was locked so I figured I'd just start a new topic. So I had my combo interview last Nov 12th, and now I just got my oath ceremony notice scheduled for Dec 17th. The notice, N-445, didn't mention anything about the name change, though. I requested a name change on my N-400, and during the interview, the IO made me sign and confirm the new name I'm changing to. Now, I'm just wondering whether the whole thing went through as I've read something about the ceremony needing to be a judicial one, but I cannot find any info whether the upcoming one is? For reference, the ceremony is being held at an Events Center, in Fargo, ND (closest office I guess). The name change is completely changing First Name and Middle Name. Thanks!
  4. Finally recovered my password so I can contribute. I had my combo interview last Nov 12th, at the local office in Fargo, ND (closest) which was a bit wild since they sent me to MPLS to do the AOS interview a few years ago. We were ushered into a tiny office which wasn’t too bad since there weren’t anyone else there besides us and this one other gentleman. We did a virtual interview which surprised me but in a good way. We were separated (spouse was interviewed first) then I did the combo. The IO was overall decent, he seemed a bit strict but also straightforward. Was glad I had him. There were a few awkward moments as it was virtual and we had some pauses here and there. my i-751 got approved, n400 had 3 different updates same day: -Submitted for approval and quality review -in line for oath -Waiting for quality review so I guess I’m waiting for that quality review to be approved. I did change my name (my first name and middle name), so that could be why
