Oops forgot to post in November group! DQ back in July Nicaragua’s embassy opened in October and I was notified days later that my husbands interview is November 30th. On the interview date email it says to keep up with the website about the presidential proclamation on health care but I’m paranoid and not sure if I should send in a letter from work that once he’s here he’ll be covered by my insurance ?

Actually, there is rationale; a fiance is just that. A fiance. Not an official marital term. As in "you will be" not "you are". A spouse is a defined term. As in the wife. Are you doubting? Let's pull the dictionary.  Ever wondered where no official document has a marital term "fiance"?
Unfortunately when the rubber meets the road, such details can make the difference between a yay and a nay. This thing is more like GO/NO GO gage.  Not what you would want to hear today, but it is what it is at this point. Sorry pal
 

I started off sympathizing with the poster- AND said I understand their frustration. So I'm not sure how I am wagging my finger at other people peoples frustration when I said myself I understand it. I was only trying to point out that it CAN make sense but some people will only look at things with blinders on clearly.. You are right, I am grateful I am not separated from my loved one but I also don't throw out there that our embassy has been closed for months at a time due to political turmoil in the country when I see the Philippines and other countries breeze through their 10,000 k1s they process a year. 

I totally understand your frustration as we went the k1 route (and wouldn't have changed it any other way) but if you look at it from a processing standpoint a CR/IR1 is one and done. Once they have the approval at the embassy they come to the US and the green card gets sent to them (no other petition/application needed) and they are good for a minimum 2 years and in other cases 10 years; plus these people can work ASAP. For a K1- once you have your approval at the embassy and arrive in the US there are multiple other steps needed for a green card which takes time to process. If USCIS is planning on laying off people (even if they don't they have had minimum people working) then they have limited workforce to then process these adjustment of status', advanced parole and work authorizations that K1's file. It will continue to pile up their workload making things significantly slower , the backlog getting worse and having a slew of people that are unable to work (K1s) as well. You may not like the response (and I wouldn't as well in your shoes) but looking at it this way it DOES make sense. 

We all need to understand that K1 is a hybrid visa. it is non immigrant but with migration intent...By the standards of migration K1's are recognized as spouse of US citizens. As to being a hybrid visa it can be confusing most time to which category it belongs to. For those of us that watched the US embassy in Jamaica facebook live chat yesterday, the question of K1 was raised again and the lady answered that K1's will be processed!

Yeah it’s annoying I called yesterday because I even saw someone who submitted after me (I submitted 2/24) get DQ and all the rep would say it “not to believe everything everyone says on the internet” as if over 10 people here and in Facebook groups get something out of lying about DQs 🙄
