  1. Hello everyone!!!!!!

COngrats, AShish! I, too got an email saying the same thing!!! I also hope to get the green card soon, without any errors!

As you may have been seeing in the list of CSC transferees, I hold the record of having the longest "RFE status" having received 2 RFEs. Thank GOd, finally, the wait is over... My mind can relax right now, and will soon be able to find a job.

Good luck to all still in waiting!!!

  2. I was also told that I shouldn't get a copy of the I-693 medical form by the Civil Surgeon. I was given a copy of the rest of the other forms like the vaccination supplement, xray report, bloodwork, etc.

rch99, I'm referring to the I-693 filled out by a Civil surgeon here, coz I got an RFE for a medical exam, and after 2 months, another RFE for a "properly completed" I-693 and an evidence of my xray report, whch was actually included in the first RFE docs I sent them.

Looking at the site, downloading the forms, there are actually 4 forms - CS copy, USCIS copy, applicant's copy, and for the physician or health department. So, I guess, maybe, applicant's should have a copy of the form. But, I guess, most of them, don't.

  3. Hi all!

I just came in from the CS' office. I waited for about 3 hrs for me to be called in to see the doctor. To give you a background of the status of my application, I received a 2nd RFE, this time for a "properly completed" I-693, in April, asking for evidence for a chest xray and/or TB test report (which was actually submitted before in response to the 1st RFE). BEfore putting it in an envelope, CS asked me to-recheck everything for me to make sure it's complete (probably coz she asked me to pay $50 to "re-do" my I-693). I went through it, asked a few questions, and "approved" it. Then they sealed the envelope which was an enclosed return envelope that in with my RFE notice.

I got home, re-checked, and.... there it was, an error with my treatment dates. IT should be Aug 25-Feb 25. The date on the I-693 I picked up is 2 months short. OCt. 25 to Feb 25.

I need to have it revised by the CS, but the USCIS-provided envelope is signed by the doctor , sealed- stapled. WHat should I do to make it "acceptable" to USCIS, to convince them I did not tamper the results?

I would appreciate all your ideas... just when I thought this would soon be over.... :help:

  4. Thanks, you all, for the replies.

I will check with the CS again, and since I don't have a copy of the I-693, will try to check from her file, if it was indeed, incomplete.

I was unable to do so today. Be back to the CS Monday. ANd, yes, I think it's a good idea to ask questions from the local health department regarding this "evidence".

I'm still thankful I wasn't denied right away, as some officer might have done, whether or not it's the applicant's fault... AT least, i have a reason to smile after almost 3 months of wondering what happened to my application.

  5. More than 2 monthd after I submitted the required Medical RFE docs, I got another letter asking for a properly completed I-693 because, "the I-693 submitted does not show evidence of the requires Chest xray report and/or tuberculin test."

I don't know what other evidence they need because I had an xray and a narrative "xray report" from the doctor. Could there be any form of xray reports? Are there any other possible evidence for chest xray reports? I'm going back to the doctor... hope she does the right thing this time...

I can't wait to get over this AOS procedure... It's been a long time...

GOod luck to all the rest who are still in the process, like me.

  6. Thank you very much for all the responses. I am freaking out, even though my husband tells me not to worry...

I emailed CSC right after I posted the topic on VJ. So far, no response from them yet. I did get 2 "touches" after they received my RFE. I called up USCIS and hung up after about 10 min when I couldn't get to where I can talk to a Customer Services rep.

YEs, I might have to do that. Go the the Civil Surgeons office, get a copy of the I-693 and mail it to them. Probably too late now, but, who knows...?

  7. Congratulations to ALL who have recently been approved.

My RFE is for a MEdical exam and vaccination supplement. I was hoping there wasn't any problem coz they gave me an incomplete copy of the documents. The I-693 copy was missing! It was too late when I noticed it coz my husband already dropped off the RFE response on his way home (he was the one who picked it up from the CS). I called up the doctor's office and they assured me they sealed the envelope with all the necessary documents inside.

I can't help but worry, because anastasia's AOS was denied due to incomplete medical docs. I thought, if i were to be approved, I should have been approved a week or two after, like most CSC transferees with RFEs. I don't know what to do at this point. In my more gloomy moments (like right now), I think of the possibilities, thinking of how it's gonna affect my family coz I have a 20 month old daughter. I know I shouldn't be thinking negative, but sometimes, I just can't help it.

I'm praying everything will be fine. I will keep everyone posted. And to me and to the others still waiting, good luck!

  8. They received my RFE package on Feb, 9 and my last touch was on Feb, 21! Why is it taking them so freakin' long???

Babsi is already approved, and they received her RFE on the same date as mine!!!

Hi, waitinghoney! We're in the same boat. And they even got my RFE response earlier than yours... i must admit, it's quite disheartening to see my name in the CSC transferees list (thank you eau_xplain), staying RED for the longest time... I just hope that when I finally get the letter from them, it better say something positive.

Let's hang in there... hope and pray our names on the list turn from RED to GREEN very soon. That also goes to those who have been waiting for THE card...

  9. Faith,

Whoa... this is the worst nightmare. Considering you're pregnant and all... And you really were able to hang on up to what your "name" really means. I really admire your strength.

I hope nobody else goes through this... Nobody deserves such a denial from the USCIS - through the carelessness of people whose duties are so crucial in the whole AOS process.

I'm really glad you can now breathe a sigh of relief.... it must have been very difficult for you.

  10. I also sent back my RFE docs for Medical and Immunizations last Feb 1. Got an email on Feb 3 that they received the documents. "TOuched" 2 days in a row- FEb 7 and 8. I'm just getting worried after reading all these AOS denials based on MEdical RFEs...

My husband picked up the sealed envelope for me and when he went back, he has with him photocopies of what was inside the envelope EXCEPT for the I-693 which is the FOrm for the MEdical Exam!!! It was too late to do anything coz the package was already brought to the Post Office. I called up the DOctor's Office and they insisted that the forms were complete. They refused to let me speak with the doctor.

SO, now, there's nothing left for me to do but WAIT... I can't relax till I get the letter from the USCIS, hoping it will be an APPROVAL. Knowing people have been denied for their Medical RFEs is so upsetting, especially if it's not the applicant's fault.

  11. Hi, Faith. I'm really sorry to hear that news... I also don't have any advice to offer, but, I feel for you. I'll be praying for you, and I also pray that the same thing wouldn't happen to me, as I just sent them the RFEs they requested for my entire medical exam, plus immunization supplement.

Take care of yourself and the baby...

  12. Mine was pretty cheap, thanks to a VJ member who suggested a place here in NJ. I paid $85 for medical, plus $30 for the drawing of blood (HIV & Syphillis). DOctor said the labwork will be paid by my insurance. $115 in all.

I only had Td shot before, so she asked me if i want the immunizations for the rest or a tither. I chose the latter and didn't pay for it coz it's included in the $30 bloodwork for HIV and SYph. The results were fine so I didn't have to take the shots. For anyone interested, it's Springfield Medical Arts, NJ. The place looks so old, though, but it really doesn't matter.

Try to find some more, you might save a hundred bucks or so.
