  1. Oh... I don't know for the clerk office. At the USPS they asked me for a copy of my driving licence too and a copy of my naturalization certificate. For the check, well... I don't know, but I would call to be sure. Once you pay for one, the money is gone...
  2. Bring your DEBIT card with you, you can make one on the spot when you apply at the post office.
  3. Hi, I'm coming back from San Antonio. The ceremony was very informal, short and bland. 40 minutes sitting down and nothing happened. Children were crying. Then, somebody came, they explained us, very slooooowly, how to register to vote, with stupid information like: "Loooook heeeeere, it says county, not country, did you understaaaand?" Then they read the oath, we said "I do", they gave us the certificate and we were free to go. Waiting time: 40 minutes. Ceremony time: 30 seconds. No messages from Biden, no band, no tequila, nothing. But I'm a citizen now 🙂 Good luck to everybody, especially those who are still waiting.
  4. Mine was at 1:30pm. I had a red shirt, jeans and a black backpack.
  5. The scheduled my oath ceremony for June 21, too, but I've been already invited to a wedding that day, so the scheduled mine for July 1.
  6. Ohhhh the bill is a draft of a law... I thought they meant like the bill... a banknote, like a "1 dollar bill"... I don't know about this stuff... I'm an engineer, not a lawyer...
  7. Where did you meet your wife / Why did you come here / What's your job / Where were you living before... things like that (things that they already know lol)
  8. For those who asked about "who signed the banknotes"... Clearly that wasn't the question, I don't remember, but it was one of those 4 or 5 questions where you answer: "The President". 🙂
  9. Interview made. Left home this morning (it takes almost 2 hours with traffic from Round Rock to San Antonio), stop at Bucees in New Braunfels for a brisket and egg taco, then quick lunch and I entered the building half an hour before. After the checks, I waited in a room and, when they called me, the interview started. - Are you nervous? No! - But... you will be answering 10 random questions, aren't you nervous? No! - Ok, then let's start! Questions: - What Lincoln was famous for? - Who lived in the US before the Europeans arrived? - What's the capital of the US? - What is the ocean on the West side? - Who signed the banktones? - Who was President during WW1? I answered well, then they asked me if I was part of a terrorist group etc... Then they asked me the story of my life. I said: "I brought the tax return of the last 4 years!" "Oh really, wow! Gimme gimme gimme!" After that the woman told me that everything was fine. She scheduled the oath for June 29, but I am invited to a wedding, so my oath will be on July 1 in San Antonio! That's it! DON'T FORGET TO BRING THE COPIES OF YOUR TAX RETURN. THEY REALLY, REALLY LIKE IT!
  10. My wife tested me on the 100 questions. It was all right until I said "The star-sprinkled banner". Seriously, how many times did you use the word "spangled" in your life? 🙂
  11. Why? This is why: https://toronto.citynews.ca/2008/11/03/teen-changes-name-to-capt-fantastic-faster-than-superman-spiderman-batman-wolverine-hulk-and-the-flash-combined/
  12. Oh no... If I learned something from dealing with USCIS is to upload everything at once, even the things they didn't ask for. Pictures of your family in front of your American house with your big American SUV and the American flag in the background? Upload it! A bill of the water company sent to your address? Upload it! Receipt of the 50-pound brisket and beer that you bought to celebrate July 4th? Upload it! A video of you drunk shouting God Bless America while dressed as Lincoln? Upload it! Of course, I'm a bit sarcastic here, but, believe me, when I asked for my I-130, I've uploaded what they requested and only after months I've been asked to upload other document because USCIS needed more proof!
  13. To everybody who didn't have any update, I noticed something, I don't know if it can help. I was waiting for about 3 months, then I have uploaded the 2023 tax return on the USCIS website and, magically, after 2 weeks, I got the interview notice.
  14. Mmm... Probably an easier way would be to create a spreadsheet with the data, then create a screenshot of that part and upload the image. By the way, thank you for keeping this updated. I really appreciate this. 🙂
  15. Hi, I finally got my interview scheduled. Jun 13th in San Antonio.
  16. Sent the request on February 14. Done the biometrics on March 8. No update since then. I live in Austin, TX. I have also uploaded the 2023 tax return and all the previous (empty) police records for all countries I lived in (Italy, UK and Netherlands). I don't mind if my interview would be next year, I just would like to know so I can plan some trips with my family. The last thing I want is to book something and then being in that limbo in which I have no Green Card nor passport...
  17. No reply yet. At this point, I really hope to have the interview on August 16, I would have the perfect excuse to be in San Antonio: the concert of Journey + Def Leppard. That would be awesome if they can be the same day
  18. Austin here... I've read it's one of the slowest in the US. I still don't know if the interview will be in Austin, San Antonio, Houston... Who knows???
  19. https://youtu.be/07Y0cy-nvAg?si=Ya2ABUXIf1B8aopb just to break the tension while we all wait for the interview date...
  20. I've submitted a document telling that I am working as an engineer here in Austin, bla bla bla, that I bought a house and bla bla bla and I sent pictures of my son with all his grandparents and a picture with the whole family (including my sister-in-law + her husband, my parents, my in-laws and my dog) in our backyard.
  21. Lol, for my entry visa, Visajourney had a better prediction than the USCIS website :-). That's why I'm asking...
  22. Do you think that people who have been living here for more time have a faster process than the others? I apply after 3 years (minus 90 days)...
  23. @minivatreni I am in Austin, TX. The biometrics will take place in Austin. I don't know about the ceremony, somebody says Austin, somebody says San Antonio, some others say that I could get the citizenship directly after the interview... I have been married for 5 years. I came to the US on May 2021. I apply 90 days before the three-year period.
  24. Hi, I've just searched for this thread. Filed for N-400 on February 15th. I have the biometric scheduled for March 8th. :D
