  1. One more question regarding the Online application. I'm on the "Where have you lived" section and I'm running into an issue. I've lived at the same address for the past 6 years. I already listed it as my current address in the previous tab "Your contact information" and listed the date there. Do I now include it again in this next screen in "Where have you lived"? The issue is that the form requires a MM/DD/YY format in From and To boxes. I still live here presently, and will do so in the foreseeable future. Do I list a date in the future? Do I list today's date? Do I leave "To" blank? Or do I skip this section altogether since I already listed this address in the "Your contact information" ?
  2. Thanks for sharing your experience! Yeah, I'm already proactively planning for questions regarding our marriage (even though I'm filing under the general provision), and I plan to bring evidence in case questions are raised. Cool to hear that you could do same day ceremony!
  3. Hi all, I'm in the process of filing out the online N-400 application and I have a couple of questions. I'm married to a USC but I have now been a GC holder for over 5 years, so I will be applying under the general provision and requirements. Here are the questions: 1. I have my IRS tax transcripts ready to upload, however me and my spouse file our taxes "Married filing separate" (for student loan calculation purposes). Will this raise eyebrows? Should I also upload my spouse's tax transcripts? And wouldn't that just start a slippery slope - now upload residential leases, joint insurance, bills, etc...? 2. I have a minor traffic ticket that was dismissed by a judge (over Zoom court). I can print out a copy of the available online court records to show dismissed. How important is it to obtain a CERTIFIED court record? I'm not particularly thrilled by the idea of driving 1000 miles to the county court where it happened to just to get one stamp... 3. As it has been discussed many times, the list of Occupations on the N-400 application is rather limited. I'm a teacher. Should I just select the category "Counselors, Vocation/Education"? That seems to be the closest fit (and I know I can clarify my answer on the last page). Thank you all!
  4. My case was finally approved. I never filed N400, just the I-751. Took exactly 29 months. No interview, no RFEs. I hope others here get their approvals soon too!
  5. Card arrived yesterday in the mail. I was panicking for nothing. Thanks for all the replies!
  6. Oh good, so we have very similar dates of approval - please keep me updated when (if) you get the Card was Produced status update. I'll do the same.
  7. Thanks! Thinking about it some more: the language in the letter is standardized, so it's very possible that it's there to deter people who just got approved for their initial 2-year card from traveling before they receive it (read: traveling with no green card whatsoever). I'm also starting to think that an ADIT stamp functions the same as expired card+extension letter.
  8. I’m probably overreacting, indeed. I just didn’t expect to see this language in the approval notice. The reason for my freak out is because I expected the status to change from Approved to Card was produced in just a few days (that’s what a couple of websites indicated) but it has been a week already. I’m not overly concerned about airlines/boarding. Travel is scheduled for March 1, so yes I do have a reasonable window in which the card should arrive (unless I’m very unlucky). yes, I have informed delivery turned on and I’m watching it like a hawk. But first I expect to see the change in status to Card was Produced.
  9. It just seems like the complications with USCIS just never end... My I-751 had been pending since Sept 2021 until last week when it was finally approved! Great news, right? Case status changed from We Ordered Your New Card to Case Was Approved....but it hasn't changed to Card was produced yet. It's been a week. Here is the kicker - I have international travel planned in early March. I figured it was pretty safe to travel with my expired card and the 4-year extension letter. But the approval notice explicitly says "You should not travel outside the United States until you receive your new Green Card, as you may have difficulty entering the United States"....blah blah blah...make an appointment for a I-551 stamp. I know this is standard language, and I wonder if I could still just use my expired card and 4-year extension letter in lieu of the I-551 stamp (assuming the worst - that the new card does not arrive in time). Two questions: 1) Has anyone faced a similar situation? 2) People who have been recently approved (in the past month) - have you received your new cards yet? How long did it take for the status to change to Card Produced, and how long until the card actually arrived? Thanks!
  10. Does this website happen to show you data for SRC?
  11. Thanks! Yeah, it's either that, or I'm about 1000 numbers down the line.
  12. Great news! Congrats! I'm SRC filer from Sept 2021, so hopefully my turn comes soon. Was your number 2190304xxx or 2190305xxx (4 or 5, that's all I'm curious about)?
  13. Well...save a PDF of it on your phone. Who wants to walk around with 90+ pages printed
  14. This is incredibly frustrating. Who ever thought that it was a good idea to deputize airline employees as U.S. immigration officials? I have upcoming international travel in a couple of months and will be traveling with the expired GC and i-797 extension. I hope I don't run into issues, and if I do that I would be able to argue successfully (since the letter LITERALLY says that it extends the applicant's ability to work and travel).
  15. Hi all. Getting ready to file my N-400 online. Getting into the address section reminded me that for a period of 9 months I had two residences - I had my primary residence with my spouse, but I also had a second residence in a different town (same state) because of my work. I was spending Thursday through Monday at my primary residence, and only on Tuesday and Wednesday stayed at my secondary. I listed both of them when I initially filed the paper i-485 and at the interview it never came up as a problem. So far, the online application only throws a Warning that I have overlapping dates, but not an actual Error, so I think I will still be able to submit it with the overlapping dates. But what happens if at the end it does give me an error? Seems unwise to not list the secondary address because I had already listed it in the i-485 years ago. Maybe omit the secondary address but upload an additional PDF with a short explanation of what happened? Has anyone dealt with a situation like this?
  16. That's my logic too. I'm a Sept 2021 filer and I'm getting very close to the official estimate of 27.5 months...I've decided to wait (im)patiently for a little longer. I also considered something else: if it weren't for VisaJourney, there would be no discussion of WoM or N-400 speeding up the process. We have anecdotal evidence. I tell myself that I'm following the official process. After all, no one from USCIS has stated "we won't touch your I-751 until you submit N-400." Not that they would ever say that out loud.
  17. That's great progress. Where are you seeing these numbers though?
  18. I should know this probably...after the oath and becoming a citizen, does your Alien number remain active and is it ever used for anything? Or is it truly the end of the line of the immigration journey?
  19. Congrats! Very interesting update...so you filed May 2022 and the service center was SRC?
  20. Looks like Processing time went down to 26.5 months. But we know that's the result of their Last in, First out approach.
