My husband had N-400 citizenship interview last week but unfortunately, he did not passed. The office is very nice but his accent is very strong, so my husband real has hard time for understand his questions. During the 100 civic question, the officer even not tell my husband he pass that question or not. Just keep typing his computer and not even look at to my husband. My husband is really confusing during the civic test.
However, we notice that my husband will have 2nd interview in the future, but we did not know which part he will need to study more. We try to check from N-652 but the we did not know what means from the check of message.
The officer check 2 things:
1. you will have another opportunity to be tested on your ability to : V=write V=understand English (office not check speak and read)
2. A decision cannot yet be made about your application.
It is very clear that my husband needs to study more about his writing. but how about the civic test? is he pass civic part?
N-652 shows first and 2nd list:
1. you passed the test of English and US history and government ==> my husband did not pass writing so office will not check this option. how about the civic question?
2. you passed the test of US history and government and the English language requirement was waived ==> my husband will be not waive English language, so the officer will still not check this option. So we still very confusing if he pass the civic question or not.
