A police certificate relates to the person’s time in that country .. I’m assuming you titled that document “police certificate first marriage “. That’s not really an accurate title. It is a police certificate Were both her names.. before marriage and married name .. listed on that application/certificate ? If both those names are listed on the official certificate, remove the incorrectly titled one, submit the certificate under the correct title (police certificate) and submit the original marriage certificate

I think this is a good “probably what happened” scenario. Send what is listed as missing and resend the police certificate you sent already. You have to give them what they “want”

Its a standard response to the many I 864 that are “borderline” for many reasons. To be totally safe, have the joint sponsor forms all completed uploaded and in hand for the interview. The interviewing officer has the final say. Having a joint sponsor already to go can avoid delays if the IO determines one is needed.

I used the official govt list of questions and answers. Some questions have several correct answers.. choose one only.. write the question on one side of an index card, and the answer on the other side. Practice asking the questions and then giving the answer. Its helpful to say the question out loud and then the answer as this trains the memory.. when you are asked the question your memory will link the answer to that question The interviewing officer will ask the questions using the wording on the USCIS list .. And you will give the answer verbally. Practice the format and well as content of the test

Not exactly a “small” mistake. You can request…But they are under no obligation to reissue. Very few requests are reissued

You were supposed to present this for inspection by CBP on entry into the US before the expiry date. It is a one time use visa. Presenting this triggers being processed as an LPR on entry. The visa page .. or right next to it .. is stamped at that time and annotated with class and date and serves for up to 12 months as documentation of your LPR status The physical green card which you have been asking about arrives usually in 90 days from this entry as a long as you have paid the fee.. and is then your permanent documentation Looks like you missed this boat. You can try explaining your mix up to MTL Consulate and request a reissue .. but I would be preparing to start all over again with the another I 130/ NVC process. 🫣

Do not reschedule the interview. . Complete the medical and attend the interview. Final decision and processing of the visa will be on hold until the Consulate receives the medical report. This is a very common occurrence

Please help us too give you good replies by filing in your timeline or at least giving is this information 1. what date was your visa interview in Montreal? 2 What was the expiry date on your visa that was placed in your passport 3. What was the date that you entered the US using the issued immigrant visa? Land or air entry ?
