  1. It is now .. well it is your wifes now … It is the case number relating to the production of the immigrants physical green card
  2. You will not have legal immigrant status until your AOS is approved. If your prospective job requires either LPR or USC status in order to work, then you will have to wait. All jobs require authorization to work ( like EAD) some require LPR or USC, some require USC. No way round it. Find another job in the interim or wait it out
  3. There is no hard and fast rule or predictor to the reuse of biometrics. Don't overthink this. Maybe play it safe by returning a day or two earlier .. or if you live close enough, you could try a walk in to the ASC before you go. Not guarantees that they will let you do it but nothing to lose by trying
  4. https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/after-we-grant-your-green-card/maintaining-permanent-residence
  5. Thx Chancy .. tried to find that link but couldn't. Appreciate you added it to the thread
  6. Its good to print off that info from uscis. The first paragraph states that the employee chooses the document they present not the employer
  7. 1. You do not need an an I 94 if you have the stamped visa in your passport. 2. Put “0” in front of the 8 digit number
  8. The stamped visa is all you need. Yes that is the document in list A. The HR person is wrong. Show them the stamped visa with the exact wording on the bottom of it as the description in list A https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-resources/handbook-for-employers-m-274/60-evidence-of-status-for-certain-categories/61-lawful-permanent-residents-lpr From the USCIS manual employees choose with document they present .. employers cannot demand a specific one The stamped visa is a uscis acceptable temporary evidence and is clearly identified in this link Print off this info.. highlight the applicable statements .. put on a cheerful smile and present your passport and completed form again
  9. Why try to use the I 94 when you have a stamped visa in your passport which states on the bottom of the visa that it is your temporary I551 ie Green card for up to 1 year while you wait for the card to be printed
  10. The EAD card has a 2 yr validity… based on the underlying AOS being in processing Thats will satisfy DMV. But .. if your AOS is denied …. then the EAD is no longer valid Hopefully you wont have to deal with that
  11. No not the AOS NOA. That starts authorized stay not “lawful presence” But you can get it with the EAD
  12. Ours were very few, very simple, related to our son ( petitioner) Who is your petitioner where does he live what work does he do
  13. Esta /vwp only gives you 90 days. Need to wait until you have EAD. Until then you have authorized stay ( once AOS docs have been received and you have the notice of receipt in hand).
  14. If I'm reading your posts correctly .. she was already married to the Moroccan when she had the marriage ceremony with you. If this is correct, then your ceremony is null and void and you are not legally married in the US
  15. You don't have to guess. If you read thoroughly and go through the country specific links for the required documents, you can be certain of the required documentation and its correct approved source.
  16. The required documents is found on the NVC processing site. No one can give you a watertight single list as the documents required will vary accirding to individual circumstances https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html
  17. No one can tell you the answer to this question. Maybe .. or not .. but what we can tell you is that, if you are not 100% honest , you will be denied on this application. Remember they already know your history regarding this .. and lots of other things too..
  18. They want the beneficiary .. your father.. to provide an original document that just happens to involve you .. this is about your father not you directly .. as i said before.. if its faster to send it direct to the consulate.. rather than send it to him to forward to the consulate.. then do so. BUT follow the directions he received for mailing address, identifying the case number, beneficiary etc as advised by the consulate .. or it will end up in the “orphan” document bin as no one will know what it belongs to .. wasted time and effort and will have to be resent
  19. Follow all instructions exactly. Return required documents and forms as quickly as possible. Be accurate and carefully read everything multiple times. If there is nothing stated to bring to the interview follow that. You cant second guess. You cant fight the system unless you want guaranteed denial
  20. The 3 letters at the start of the case number are the service center abbreviation CSC - California Service Center; EAC - Vermont Service Center; IOE - ELIS (e-filing); LIN - Nebraska Service Center; MSC - National Benefits Center; NBC - National Benefits Center; NSC - Nebraska Service Center; SRC - Texas Service Center; TSC - Texas Service Center; VSC - Vermont Service Center; WAC - California Service Center; and YSC - Potomac Service Center.
