  1. Congratulations!! It shouldn’t need that hard but we get there in the end! Hope things move smoothly and swiftly now!
  2. It does not need to be reported to USCIS. She must do whatever is necessary to replace the passport asap. I would recommend applying for a new one asap, usually the application requires a reason if it is not yet expired. For a lost passport, they will likely ask for a copy of the police report
  3. Only USCIS can render her status invalid and only if it is determined by USCIS that the marriage was entered into for the purpose of obtaining LPR status and that it was not a bonafide relationship Infidelity alone is not cause for this decision Please fill out your timeline as the process and stage you are at with immigration impacts this assessment
  4. It is unlikely to have any impact. Correcting it when asked and volunteering the background information was the best thing you could have done. There is a difference between not really understanding and intentional misrepresentation .. You were the 1st not the 2nd. A review status is quite normal. Should be clear on a few days. Come back and update your post as it is useful info for others.
  5. Lucky but that can change in a flash. Flirting with CBP problems? Yep .. getting closer every time he tries to enter . It would be v difficult to see how he could substantiate his US residency with that history .
  6. What was the interviewers response to your “no”. How did the interview end ? Were you given any paperwork at the end ? told anything?
  7. You can also go around the lack of SSN and address by doing what we did before we moved here .. Go to SSA and apply for a SSnumber. Use the US address of your fiancé .. then when they deny it, use that letter as documentation of a US address. It is a circuitous route but we used it We then went to a regional bank in our area and they were happy to open the checking account using the form for foreign nationals.. That was 10 years ago but that was how we got around it.
  8. Which country /consulate are you working with? With this info, your question can be moved to that country specific forum where i am sure you will get better answers!!
  9. Moved to Adjustment of Status process and progress forum as OP is doing AOS not DCF
  10. https://www.irs.gov/individuals/transcript-types-for-individuals-and-ways-to-order-them Tax Return Transcript It contains all the information contained in ALL the forms you submitted consolidated into a single document
  11. Been a while since I accessed CEAC but from memory it would be under the Affidavit of Support documents. Yes scan and submit as a single pdf
  12. Do check. The transcript needed is the TAX RETURN TRANSCRIPT option and is a very condensed version usually only 4-5 pages .. and well working the 2MB size
  13. When you say “the whole transcript” which option ( there are 4 from memory) did he request from the menu in the IRS page ?
  14. Not a problem !! Thx. I will move it to the best forum. If you can also fill out the timeline , that will help us also!! We are all here to help you and we’re on your side !! Welcome ! moved to AOS from visitor visa forum as this reflects OPs situation
  15. So we can get your question into the best forum, can you please confirm what process you are going through ! .. Your question about RFE delaying the work permit seems to indicate v that he is here in the US and he is applying for Adjustment of Status Is that correct? If it is, what visa did he use to enter the US? K1 fiancé ? Student? Visitor ? Thx
  16. No. You cannot pay until you have your passport back in hand as you need 2 documents numbers which are on the visa foil in your passport. Pay only after receiving back your passport , but you can pay either before or after you enter the US. Processing of your passed GC will not commence until BOTH the fee is paid AND you have entered the US on your immigrant visa
  17. Entry must be within 6 months from visa approval not I 129f ( the petition) approval. And the 6 months will actually be from the date of the medical so the visa itself will be valid for less than 6 months
  18. Yes i agree about filling the I407 as the simplest way to clear the LPR status Im wondering if an FOI for his USCIS records might be worth obtaining.. just so its moved out of the unknown and into the known …
  19. OP also states that they sent a letter withdrawing the ROC application. Not sure if they received any notification back of this action. So do you think his LPR status is sufficiently “expired” .. If it isn’t, then travelling on VWP is the least of his problems.
  20. He failed to complete ROC process so his LPR status would have expired at the date in his 2 year Conditional green card https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/after-we-grant-your-green-card/conditional-permanent-residence#:~:text=You cannot renew your conditional, removable from the United States.
  21. Failing to complete the AOS process would have ended his LPR status though ?
  22. Just checking if he did relinquish the GC. Otherwise, I don’t read anything which would rule out VWP. But his entry this time just might be a challenge .. It really depends if his info is documented on what the CBP officer sees on entry. The decision is between Trying and possibly failing or playing it really safe and not trying at all. One challenge is that as one child is struggling with his absence, Dad leaving may be even worse. Hard choice for sure
  23. @MaegZ0322 Did he then relinquish his GC when you returned to UK?
