She needs a friend...
She's in Upstate NY, Albany I think she said. A few hundred miles from NYC. It would have been good though if she were nearer.
OP I hope you do find some friends on here, or friends when you get to NYC. Best of luck to you!

I think some of these posts have not been nice to the OP. The OP in no way indicated that she didn't feel bad for VJ members that have been waiting a long time. In my opinion anyone can post what they want on these boards, whether it be a small comment, or not. If it made the OP feel better to post this message then where is the harm in that? The OP was looking for support and encouragment, and I think everyone deserves that when they are going through this visa process.

HI TO EVERYONE
After 10 days of sending an email to nvc appointning my wife as my AGENT i got this email
"Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).
The NVC has updated the address. Please continue to notify the NVC of
any change of address or change in personal situation, which may affect
the beneficiary's entitlement to a visa.
A packet containing the Affidavit of Support (I-864) Processing Fee
Bill has been sent to the petitioner or attorney of record. The payment
due amount listed on the fee bill must be paid according to the
instructions before the I-864 will be accepted.
The NVC is resending a duplicate packet. Please allow at least 10-15
business days for the packet to arrive.
NVC has received the Agent of Choice selection. The Immigrant Visa
Application (DS 230) processing fee bill will be sent to the designated
agent on the case. The fee must be paid according to the instructions
before that form will be sent. Please allow two to four weeks for the
designated agent to receive this fee bill."
what does this email mean ???
It looks like you informed them that you have changed your address, and they have updated your records in accordance with that. Also that you have selected your agent of choice (your wife) and they are confirming that they have received information in regards to that subject. The e-mail is also informing you of what has been sent to the petitioner, and that fees will have to made in accordance with the various forms before they will be accepted.

Hi everyone....
I'm reading this forum since the very beginning of my visa journey. This forum helped ALOT...
Now, i'm already a Permenent Resident, [granted me 10 yrs] as i recalled, the Officer that interviewed me n my hubby told us that i CAN imediately apply for a citizenship. However, as i began to research all the facts and infos, i've read that some infos said that i can apply after 3 yrs, some said 5 yrs. Now, this confused me.
What is really true? Did the US immigrati9on changed their rules or what? I'm thinking of filing it next june 07. Pls any advice here. God bless

Here is a link that you may find useful. You can apply after 3 years if you are married to a USC.

Unfortunately, being pregnant does not speed up the process.

Two morons stand on a cliff with their arms outstretched. One has some budgies lined up on each arm, the other has parrots lined up on his arms.
After a couple of minutes, they both leap off the cliff and fall to the ground.
Laying next to each other in intensive care at the hospital, one moron says to the other, "I don't think much of this budgie jumping."
The other moron replies, "Yeah, I'm not too keen on this paragliding either."

So sorry to hear your sad news

I don't have any wedding photos either. I have a video, but no photos. I think it would be good to have wedding photos, but it isn't necessary. Your marriage certificate is proof of a genuine marriage.

I voted for Jessie. Hope she wins!

H_A,
I wish you all the best for your future happiness! Take care of yourself. I hope your flight over to the US isn't too bad for you.

Yes, counselling sounds like a good idea for your situation. What is it that your husband really wants. Does he want to be with you or not? He has to make it clear whether he wants you or his ex. If he's willing to get counselling with you then that's a step in the right direction. I wish you both the best of luck.
