Only the USC birth certificate is required (yours). Your fiancee will take her birth certificate (not copy) to the interveiw.

Most people do it themselves unless they have a complicated case where an attoney would be required. You'll find a lot of information on here if you read the faqs and guides at the top of the page. You will find information on applying for the K-1.

Sorry to hear about your situation. It seems a little strange to me that your husband wouldn't remember his previous marriges or divorces. It isn't something anybody is likely to forget. However, I would suggest going to an immigration lawyer, find one with a free consultation. The lawyer will be able to advise you further. Good luck, and I hope your situation gets resolved.

Not washing your hands after going to the bathroom is disgusting in my opinion. If someone walks out of a public restroom wihout washing their hands I try not to touch the door handle with my bare hands. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but it's just not right to not wash your hands after going to the bathroom, and I mean at home too, not just public restrooms. I don't see why people don't do it, it only takes a minute or so to wash your hands.

You need to make your question clearer. Obviously if any visa is denied and a husband and wife are not together then it will prevent or delay a couple from being together. What exactly is it that you want to know?

There really is no need to be rude to oneheart they were only asking a question.

What I hate is when you go into a store, you go up to be served and the person behind the counter or at the check out is talking to someone else. They clearly see you approach and stand there waiting to be served, but still continue to chat to whoever they are chatting to on the phone or in the store. Very rude!

I had my medical yesterday and the doc did a TB skin test. I'm not sure if it's a requirment for the interveiw, but the civil surgeons are certainly still doing the TB skin test.

Can't you just send the necessary paperwork to him for signing and then he can return the paperwork to you through the mail?

It looks as though they are looking for evidence of a bonafide relationship. I took this information from the K1 Faqs at the top of the page.

1. Copies of all airline boarding passes, train passes, itineraries, hotel receipts, passport stamps (make sure you can read the dates on the stamps), and other documentary evidence that you have met within the last two years. You may want to highlight or place post-it notes indicating the dates and locations on the copies (to make the adjudication easier) for the person reviewing your file.

2. Color Photo's of you and your fiance(e) together. Make sure you write your names, date, and location on the back of every photo. Provide two to five photo's. If you only have a single copy of the photo, then make a color copy and send that. If it is a digital photo, have it printed at a company such as kodakgallery.com. You can also make duplicates of photo's at your local photo store (Walgreeens, CVS, etc). Place photo's in a plastic bag or photo sheet and label the sheet. Note that you may not receive originals of photo's back.

3. The following items will not typically show proof of having met in the last two years however will show proof of an ongoing relationship: Copies of phone bills, cell phone bills, emails (you can edit personal info with a marker), letters (edit personal info also), stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)

Yes, I got the wrong paperwork. I didn't realize I had been filing for a visa to come into the country. I was already here and thought I was applying for AOS. I've posted about my situation before. It's a long story.
