  1. Our lawyer uploaded 3 years of joint tax return transcripts, twice: * evidence of bonafide marriage * evidence of continuous residence + good moral character
  2. Embassies / NVC have been reported on VJ to override this guidance. I would have an I-864a ready.
  3. You can mail it back to the address listed on the letter that came with the card or to the address on your I-751 approval notice. Or do nothing at all, and wait for USCIS to ask for it back. This is not your burden.
  4. Yes I think doing this 2 weeks before your case will be damaging to your case, and I would, at best, expect an RFE and at worst, expect denial. The time to do this was 6 months ago.
  5. Yes After filing you continue to meet, and do what is possible to unify finances. So for example, add each other as authorized users to your credit cards.
  6. Does not make any sense. If a case is closed it is denied or approved. Looks approved to me.
  7. It is slower. Because you will enter rhe U.S. as an LPR able to work and able to travel internationally. As a K-1 you will wait 2 more years for a gc, and sit around the house bored. Not in the experience of thousands of visa journey members.
  8. Yes No No Yes Yes Yes Yes. Get married, file I-130, and enter the U.S. 2 years after marriage on a CR-1 visa to enter as a non conditional LPR who will receive a 10 year green card. You should have married and filed I-130 before you left the U.S. Instead, now you should get a Utah remote appliance marriage ceremony ( https://www.utahcounty.gov/dept/clerkaud/PassMarr/RemoteAppearanceFAQ.asp ), then meet in person, then file I-130.
  9. Son is not a U.S. citizen N-600 is not appropriate regardless because son is not in the U.S. 1. When USCIS denied I-130, what was the actual I-797 denial letter. 2. Whose names are listed as parents on the son’s birth certificate? 3. Was the son born in wed lock?
  10. enter no I would not. And did not. Provide date and place of physical meeting. Enter yes That is up to the physician examining her for her K-1 medical Correct That is up to the physician examining her for her CR-1 medical K-1 is worse.
  11. 1. Get his passport book and card first, since you get just one opportunity with N-600 2. This has nothing to do with your son’s step father. So were you married to your son’s father when he was born? Since you divorced his father, do you have legal custody?
  12. Not without your marriage certificate. Original required along with expired gc. State ID is useless. Yes Traveling on extension letters is a mixed bag.
  13. You acted on this on or after 5/19, a Friday. Generally I would not expect NVC workers to work on Saturday or Sunday.
  14. I could have sworn there was a service out there that would email you a USD / US bank check after paying online with a credit card, but I cannot find it. A couple years ago my wife mailed something to France, insured through etsy, and it was lost in the mail. She got back a PDF check and mobile deposit accepted it. So it seems like such services exist, but you want might be loth to trust them with a hefty premium processing fee. Have you gone to a branch of your UK bank and asked for USD money order drawn from a U.S. bank? That is what people in Canada do: go to a Big 5 bank, and get USD money orders drawn from U.S. banks.
  15. Any insight why that is? NVC seems to botch I-864 reviews most of the time.
