  1. I read through this thread. She is still an LPR, so her travel document number is the A number that is on her green card. I agree with @Family that she should file an I-130 / I-485 package on the basis of being married to you. I do hope that she has been married to you at least 2 years or will be by the time I-485 is approved so that she does not repeat the I-751 nightmare again.
  2. Since you able to get an SSN, this means CBP properly processed your immigration visa. You have a temporary I-551 in the form of your stamped immigration visa. There is nothing for you to do until 30 days before your I-551 expires: * File I-90 to get a free gc. Will take 2 years. * After you get your I-90 receipt, use the process in https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/alerts/uscis-announces-additional-mail-delivery-process-for-receiving-adit-stamp to get another I-551 stamp. You will have to do this every year until you get are gc or …. * 3 years less 90 days after POE file N-400 to become a citizen. Some people become citizens without ever seeing a gc; USCIS / USPS are that dysfunctional
  3. Possibly. Read This said, option 2 is inferior and could take years. Go with option 1, do not over share information at the POE, and return to the UK. That has over a 99 percent chance of success.
  4. If you attempt to fly, given CBP pre clearance exists in most airports, IMO, CBP will deny boarding. You can enter by land. Hopefully you have a copy of your naturalization certificate. This will speed up your secondary inspection.
  5. I have no idea because I do not know when you will get your ADIT.
  6. You are welcome. In my day, I-551 stamps at I-485 interviews were the norm because production times for green cards were 6 months long. So that is how I knew about them: my passport has one. So when people say: “I got approved at the interview”, I reply: “no you did not because you not get an I-551 stamp”. Well you are the exception and in my face. Your comment is even more valuable than mine because you might have cracked the code on how to get an I-551 stamp in the modern era. You have done a great service. Well done, and congratulations. You deserve to drink a second bottle of Champagne today.
  7. You’ve described an emergency. Book a fully refundable flight, get the ADIT, then book a cheaper non refundable flight and go (for less than 181 days).
  8. When you called, did you say “info pass”?
  9. Her husband and children are potential derivatives, and the instructions do not seem to mention a requirement for the birth certificates of derivatives for I-130.
  10. So? I go over the speed limit at times and haven’t been cited since the 1990s. Speaking of citations, I did cite CBP policy. I’ve known of this policy and have rigorously adhered to it for decades, even after (or especially because) I had Global Entry. I enjoy my codeine. Also on this thread there seems to be massive confusion between TSA and CBP.
  11. I-130 wants her spouse’s and children's’ information. Failure to mention this is: * perjury (you have to sign I-130 under penalty of perjury) * a potential material misrepresentation: the embassy will want to know where this spouse and these children came from that you claimed did not exist when you filed I-130 Why?
  12. Norm is 3 years of tax return transcripts at irs.gov. would order the missing transcript now
  13. Think in terms of a couple of weeks so that proper expectations are set.
  14. She needs to tell CBP she is bringing narcotics, as per https://www.cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/know-before-you-go/prohibited-and-restricted-items . And as per that link, CBP might confiscate all but 50 pills.
  15. It is in the check list: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/attachments.pdf If you have taken any trip outside the United States that lasted 6 months or more since becoming a Lawful Permanent Resident, send evidence that you (and your family) continued to live, work and/or keep ties to the United States, such as: An IRS tax return "transcript" or an IRS-certified tax return listing tax information for the last 5 years (or for the last 3 years if you are applying on the basis of marriage to a U.S. citizen). Now granted it says to do this only of there were trips exceeding 6 months. However, when I filed my own N-400, DIY, I lurked here for months, and the advice was to include tax transcripts. There are enough other conditions listed in the check list that it is not surprising some applicants can blind sided by some ISOs.
  16. Yes, and at the interview, it is well reported that RFEs for tax transcripts delay scheduling of oath.
  17. Ok, your timeline confused me because it says your gc was received more than 2 years after your I-485 interview and approval, Interview Date : 2018-08-22 Submit Review Approval / Denial Date : 2018-08-22 Approved : Yes Got I551 Stamp : Greencard Received: 2020-09-10 So I agree evidence of bonafide marriage is not required for the application.
  18. Are you filing under the 3 year rule or 5 year rule?
