  1. Likewise you are not answering all the relevant questions, such as that about ID, and my question about whether the husband and first wife were legally married. So before I exit this thread, I will leave you with this: * If her ex-husband was legally married to first wife he married your fiancée, then the marriage to your fiancée (his second wife) has no impact on her ability to get a CR-1 immigration visa. This because polygamy is not recognized by U.S. immigration. As far as U.S. immigration is concerned she is a single unmarried woman. * I have total empathy with the problem of a U.S. citizen trying to marry a woman in a foreign country that bans inter-religious marriage. For that reason we got the K-1. But you have options in 2023 that we did not have in 2018: namely the Utah County Zoom Marriage. You can get married online, meet up, and start the CR-1 process. * K-1 might be a problem because if the CO interviewing her finds out she had a religious marriage with one man, the CO might suspect she had one with you. The onus of proof that she is not married is on her. And so I’ve contributed all I can, and I don’t wish to argue or bicker, so I won’t post more in this thread.
  2. 1. Then you need to file I-751 90 days before it expires and yes you might get an interview. 2. Your profile says: Immigration Status Removing Conditions (approved) This is why I assumed you have a 10 year GC
  3. Assuming you already have a 10 year GC, you can file I-90 6 months before the GC expires. I have never heard of an interview for I-90. I did not have one.
  4. I-824. Some of those take longer than I-130s. Avoiding I-751 is a good thing. Some errors are blessings.
  5. It will not be held in Russia. What embassy was requested in I-130?
  6. Send the withdraw letter twice, * to the USCIS address listed in NOA1 * to the USCIS address listed in NOA2
  7. State Department web site does not mention a deadline to get Akte Perkawinan or Surat Nikah. The State Department does not mention a nikah siri. Let’s say OP was married say 50 years ago with a nikah siri to a U.S. citizen who wanted to petition OP. How would OP get an Akte Perkawinan or Surat Nikah?
  8. The final action chart for F4 is 22APR07. In theory you should have been scheduled an interview. In reality, it seems the Final Action chart for F1, F2B, F3, and F4 is fake news. When a PD is current relative to these dates, it seems that visa numbers are not actually available. Rather retrogress to reflect reality, DoS insists on keeping the fictional final action chart. You can try a writ of mandamus, but I expect you will be denied. But you might get unique visibility into your actual place in line, or the judge might force DoS to publish a real final action chart
  9. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Indonesia.html Birth Certificates Available. A birth certificate (Akte Kelahiran) may be obtained from the Civil Registry office (Dinas Kependudukan and Catatan Sipil) at the place within whose jurisdiction the birth took place. This certificate is available upon request throughout Indonesia. No alternatives are listed. So she needs to get her birth certificate. From same link: Marriage Certificates Available. A marriage certificate (Akte Perkawinan or Surat Nikah) is issued by the following offices for the following population groups: 1) Moslem - the Kantor Urusan Agama (KUA - Office of Religious Affairs) So she should get her Akte Perkawinan or Surat Nikah) From the same link Divorce Certificates Available. Moslems of all nationalities may obtain a divorce decree (Surat Talak) from the Kantor Urusan Agama (KUA - Office of Religious Affairs) within whose jurisdiction the divorce (talak) took place. So she should get her divorce decree (Surat Talak).
  10. You can change your W-4 as often as you like. When I was working, I changed it several times a year. Ideally your employer has an online W-4 portal.
  11. Yes it is expected people will wear business formal attire appropriate to their culture. My wife wore a business formal Burmese longyi similar to this
  12. Things seems to have changed since my wife filed I-485. At the time, the W-4 I was using looked like this: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/fw4--2016.pdf I was using the single status and the married but withhold at single rate status because I wanted my pay withheld that the single rate with a single standard deduction. This was because my compensation ess mostly variable, and the variable part withheld taxes at 20 percent but I was in a higher tax bracket. So if you are using the newer W-4, what I wrote does not apply. Sorry for the confusion.
  13. See 77 I do not know how you wish us to quantify this. I probably put 40 hours into it. The cover letter came after all evidence was gathered into a single drop box folder. That isn’t how it works. Depending on where you live, there is a specific address you send to, and these addresses change from time to time. We sent ours to Phoenix. We were assigned a WAC case number, so California was our service center. Biometrics and interview waived. We used a lawyer. Who both demanded reference letters and stated that they did not have to be notarized. So we did not ask our friends to notarize them.
  14. While I doubt every thing said by a tier 1 officer, it is possible the service center is using a field office to process your case. If there is an interview, I doubt it will be in Detroit.
  15. No. And yes as noted, EADs are now 5 years. So this, is not an issue. Provided you had no intent to file I-485 when you entered on your B visa, I now think you should file I-485.
  16. The last time i filled out an actual IRS tax form was 1996 for tax year 1995. I switched to turbotax after that.
  17. Your irs.gov account shows more than tax return transcripts. And the other transcripts can go back more than 4 years
  18. That should tell you if your spouse filed MFJ in 2018 since some of the transcripts go back 5 years
  19. Seems like it. Freetaxusa.com does not handle this?
  20. MFJ or MFS are good for evidence of bonafide marital union. MFJ will will give more of your money to you now versus getting it back when you file your 2023 taxes as MFJ in 2024. If she gets a job in 2023, i suggest MfS for her through end of 2023. Then in 2024 use the IRS W-4 calculator to get correct with holding for both of you.
  21. They are still no No. I think the higher priority is to fix the wrong answer. Do have an account on irs.gov?
