  1. To get ahead of a future finding of misrepresentation. If you think telling USCIS now is bad, then surely telling USCIS during N-400 or I-130, or telling CBP at a port of entry, or having one’s beneficiary tell DoS during DS-260 is worse. Lies get worse the older they get. But if you think telling DHS or DoS years from now is ok, then surely there is no harm in telling USCIS now. It seems you lack courage of conviction. I mean having watched OP pull the wool over DHS’s eyes you should be cheering OP to flaunt it, right?
  2. Congrats. Use of the extension letter for I-9 means your employer will have to re-verify you when the extension expires. You want the unrestricted SS card for I-9. That is your plan A
  3. You should have applied 2 working days after you entered the U.S. on your K-1. 1. How many days are left on your I-94? The SSN usually comes 2 weeks before or after a gc is approved. Sometimes never. 2. Did you you also file I-765?
  4. It is already approved. And DHS is not required to approve an N-400 or not open removal proceedings.
  5. Can take any where from 2 weeks to never. He should go to the SSA office to get his SSN
  6. the sole option 7. parent and grand parent must attend interview. 8. Once child leaves field office with certificate of citizenship, child must apply for and receive a U.S. passport before leaving the U.S. Backlogs are months, and an emergency appointment might be needed.
  7. Reading between the lines, hiding the initiation of divorce elevates suspicion. So IOW hide it for as long as possible. What possible benefit is there to doing so?
  8. Agreed. IME those (usps priority mail flat rate envelopes with bubble wrap) are hard to find at post offices. I have to order them.
  9. I saw a case where mom did IR-2 for her son, and promptly did a U-turn back to her country of birth with the kid. The passport agency did not like that at all.
  10. Cool. If his N-600K interview does not happen before his authorized stay expires, he can come back when the interview is scheduled. Forget about IR-2. And so the CO did not lie, but the CO was not forthcoming. IMO, the COs who do visas are not up to speed on U.S. citizen issues.
  11. N-600K. Select Helena Montana, because it is fast. Whichever of her parents is willing to go to Helena for the interview should be used as the grand parent providing the necessary 5 years of physical presence. Did he get a multi entry B visa?
  12. You should write them today to the address on your I-751 extension letter. The fact your approval letter has not been delivered is the best news yet. Get this done now.
  13. 1. Do either your sister’s parents have 5 years of physical presence in the U.S.? 2. Did he get a multi entry B visa?
  14. Yeah. How else? Delaying this notice to USCIS is not in your best interest. You have a 10 minute task that are trying to turn into a 10 day task.
  15. You received an I-797 that said I-751 was approved. It had an address for USCIS. Write to that address. * a letter saying you have filed for divorce * copy of divorce filing * copy of I-751 approval
  16. So she is lacking the 2 years of physical presence after age 14. Though visiting her in the U.S., she is accruing those days. She should meticulously start counting. Every receipt she has while in the U.S. needs to be saved. 1.Were either of her parents U.S. citizens? 2. Was her son born in wedlock?
  17. The advice to do IR2 only works if your sister now plans to live in the U.S. How did your sister become a U.S. citizen?
  18. Does she normally live with her son outside the U.S.? Just how old is the son?
  19. She signed uo for this when she applied for a gc: she agreed to live in the U.S. There were plenty of opportunities for her to file I-407 after she abandoned her LPR status. She then could have attempted to get ESTA, and if that failed, got in the (long) line for a B visa. TBH, except for LPRs who are were forced as minors to leave by their parents, I never understand why a non citizen goes through all that trouble to get a gc, and then tosses a privilege that millions are waiting to get. Nothing, and that includes ailing family, would cause me to abandon my LPR privilege. And I managed the end games of my father, mother, and brother, cremated them, settled their estates, etc while still spending most of my time in the U.S. She cannot be denied entry. What is the evidence that she cannot get ESTA ever?
  20. By now you and he should have disclosed all his previous marriages. Passport, NVC interview appointment notice are typical. This will vary by consulate. https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/irstats.php?history=90 Just one record for Gambia; over 400 days from I-130 approval to interview.
