    It is so fortunate you got this RFE, versus being approved even though you divorced. I would send an amendment today to the USCIS address listed on your most recent extension letter, and a courtesy copy to the address listed on your RFE. Each mailing should include a copy of the extension letter and the final divorce decree. Then, once usps confirms delivery of both, respond to the RFE.

    If you file N-400 you will get a 24 month GC extension letter and probably take oath of citizenship faster than you would receive a new GC if you file I-90.

    What is your evidence Rangoon will not accept a Utah marriage certificate? You can. Given your history (withdrew one I-130, and as a petitioner, had an I-130 interview), if I were you I too would file I-130 from inside the U.S. People married online through Utah County, file I-130 the same day (online) and successfully get immigration visas. Anyway, I think OP has decided to attempt to complete the K-1 plan.

    No. That ia the time to approve I-129F The visa is a separate process.

    Nobody has been actively looking at your I-129F for these past 7 months. Sometime in the next 24 months, an ISO will pick up your case out of a big stack and spend a hour on it, most likely approving it.

    1. Your approved I-129F has an expiration date. If you are not proactive it will expire and you will get nothing. 2. NVC’s competence and service level has degraded since the pandemic. 3. NVC has meaningful role in K-1. This is yet another reason why K-1 is inferior to IR-1.

    For K-1, NVC is a useful as mammary glands on a boar hog.     Congrats on DQ and the raise. The beneficiary should bring a new I-864 from you and new pay stubs showing the new rate of pay. The new I-864 should list current income as the what you expect to earn in the next 12 months. The beneficiary should have an I-864 from a joint sponsor ready to show if your old and new I-864 is rejected.

    She could have filed online and uploaded the note. I’ve heard of such a thing with any paper filed petition of any type. Didn’t she give you a copy of the N-400 you signed and she filed?

    When you go down rabbit hole, the work around for the 2 years of taxes is obvious but it requires you to perjure yourself, which apparently the state legislature of Maryland is fine with. I will not explain future nor advocate doing that. Just be careful what you sign.
