  1. Waiting for purge 2.0.

  2. I question that. I know of no state, district, or territory, that denies state ID to an LPR with an extension letter and GC. American Samoa is an exception I would not question. Not a real territory IMHO. Incorrect. Case in point, in 2022, my wife went to an SSA office in Tucson with her expired GC and restricted SS card and they cheerfully processed her request for an unrestricted GC. Took less than 2 weeks for her new SS card to arrive. He should go to SSA offices starting tomorrow.
  3. Vitalchek.com likely has it. I used that service to retrieve a marriage certificate from 1985.
  4. Since it only 2 weeks, I think it is safe to book a single round trip ticket between the U.S. and Pakistan, on Etihad, Qatar, or Emirates. I like Etihad for this because of CBP pre-clearance in Abu Dhabi. You will get processed by CBP in Abu Dhabi, and if there is any confusion about your extension letter, Etihad in Pakistan might have experience getting a hold of CBP in Abu Dhabi to answer questions.
  5. Noted. And on that note: I've contributed all I can, and I don't wish to argue or bicker, so I won't post more in this thread.
  6. Ok to travel Re-entry permits take over a year to approve. I would not wait. Do want to naturalize in the future?
  7. Her birth name. yes Her marriage certificate to her ex spouse.
  8. And says there was marriage ceremony. The consensus was correct: not eligible for K-1. That OP was not able stop modifying the content of other contributors. When folks demonstrate they cannot operate a motor vehicle on public roads, they lose their drivers license. i’ve only seen that once. Usually people announce their exit from a thread after contributing to it, and then realizing the thread is heading toward a violation of terms and conditions. This can lead to getting a timeout from management. Lately I’ve been doing less public “Mike E”-ing because it isn’t worth it. Doing more silent unfollowing. Perhaps the website can be enhanced to automatically note when a public follower has left. I will say this about VJ: I can report a topic or post without fear of reprisal. On reddit you can be banned for reporting a post or comment. I hope VJ continues to provide that safe harbor.
  9. Emirates or Qatar Airways over TK. You can go for a “short trip” If you are gone for months …. I would book a round trip between U.S. and Doha, and a round trip between Doha and Pakistan. * Doha because your passport lets you visit Qatar. * Two round trips because you do not want Pakistan’s immigration department to figure out you are an LPR. Worst case a boarding foil. These seem to take a week now.
  10. Passport stamps are dying out. Do not count on getting one. Have plan B.
  11. You have one of the weakest passports, and you are going to a country whose national immigration department is notorious for making it difficult for LPRs to leave Pakistan. So a boarding foil is the only answer I see, short of you piloting a private boat to American shores. And no doubt flying Turkish Airlines, which is notorious for denying boarding to LPRs with extension letters. * Stay under 180 days outside the U.S. * give yourself plenty of time to get a boarding foil in the event Pakistan’s immigration department or TK airlines refuses to let you board.
  12. Depends. 1. To what country are you traveling? 2. What is your country of citizenship? BTW, a boarding foil is the result of filing I-131a .
  13. You should also have photos of you together, preferably in front of well land mark.
  14. The REAL ID act gives states more flexibility to meet the REAL ID requirements. Ironically, Texas appears to be state that makes the most of that flexibility, and Washington state, without question, makes the least use of the flexibility: nobody, and I mean nobody, gets REAL ID.
  15. More than one million people became American citizens in 2022 after Joe Biden made the exam easier to pass The civics test my wife took in 2023 is the same civics test I took in 2017.
  16. Choices: 1. continue to be passive 2. file N-400 3. file writ of mandamus. See the posts by @igoyougoduke
  17. Without knowing your country of birth it is not possible to help.
  18. If Russia can divide Ukraine, NATO can divide Ukraine. So, while not the most probable outcome, I can see a scenario where NATO cuts its losses, moves a peace keeping force into the portion of Ukraine that is 200 km from the Russian front, and then declares NATO occupied Ukraine to be a permanent part of NATO.
  19. Cool. Then you are presumed to have legal custody. I-864W is your only option. Cite this when you upload evidence for I-864W: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-h-chapter-4 According to INA 320, a child born outside of the United States automatically becomes a U.S. citizen when all of the following conditions have been met on or after February 27, 2001:[2] The person is a child[3] of a parent who is a U.S. citizen by birth or through naturalization (including an adoptive parent);[4] The child is under 18 years of age; The child is a lawful permanent resident (LPR);[5] and The child is residing[6] in the United States in the legal and physical custody of the U.S. citizen parent.[7] […] parent has legal custody of a child and recognizes that the parent has lawful authority over the child, absent evidence to the contrary, in all of the following scenarios:[8] […] A biological child born out of wedlock who has been legitimated and currently resides with the parent For clarity prepare a statement for each child that says: * you acknowledge the child as your own child * you will provide financial support for your child Sign each statement in front of a notary, and submit a copy of each to NVC, and bring originals to their IR-2 interviews. 1. Do they have ITINs or SSNs yet? 2. Were you a U.S. citizen before they were born?
  20. Were you ever married to their other biological parent?
  21. I read this as AR-11 at first, and wondered what wayward aliens had to do with insects.
