  1. They are required to issue you a temporary I-551 if they take your GC, so you can, in theory, travel
  2. I am not going to advise you on how to evade a federal summons. You can request to sign at the port of entry. Some ports will refuse to accept an I-407, some will give you the forms to sign and admit you as a returning resident, and some will accept the form and depending on the case: * admit you on a B status, * let you withdraw your application to enter the U.S. You might be grabned a tourist visa of you apply later. Or * perform expedited removal, which carries a 5 year ban. A tourist visa, after the ban is finished, is improbable. Sounds like you want to optimize for the worst case. That is not a generally successful way to live.
  3. 1. CBP cannot legally force you to sign I-407 2. You can not go to trial and just leave the U.S. Don’t expect to be admitted to the U.S. again, at least not without spending a holiday in ICE detention. 3. They have guns so physically possible. I have never heard of an LPR found by CBP to have abandoned status to be held for detention. I do not know if that would be legal.
  4. Why? For how long? Hacking disagrees. 30 days after notifying USCIS of the upgrade he would sue: See Episode 437, minute 59, caller named Sameh
  5. That is actually rather logical, and Harris would want a promise to be offered the next SCOTUS appointment.
  6. Do not be so sure: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/788484-usc-lives-and-works-overseas-approved-with-assets-no-joint-sponsor-visa-approved/ https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/796115-using-just-assets-beware/
  7. Without knowing the country and without whether they are still citizens of that country, it is not possible to answer. Each country has unique rules about who can get police certificates, and for the most part, the State department is forced by these realities to relax its police certificate requirements where necessary.
  8. I expect Governor Newsom is on the phone with Governor Newsom. He should take the job for his own sake.
  9. End to end K-1 cases take over 600 days. Yours will take longer. How many days have to met your fiancé in person to date?
  10. Has the beneficiary ever applied for a visa to visit / work in / immigrate to the U.S.?
  11. No https://www.uscis.gov/pay-with-a-credit-card “You may pay your filing fee and biometric services fee, if applicable, with a credit card issued by a U.S. bank, if you are filing: An application, petition, or request with a USCIS lockbox; or An application, petition, or request with the USCIS service centers. There is no additional cost to file by credit card. We cannot accept a credit card issued by a foreign bank. “
  12. Good. She cannot get a visa unless you submit I-864. So do not submit I-864 until: * you spend adequate time with her * her health issues are resolved What about I-130?
