  1. As is always the case, entry into USA will be at discretion of the CBP officer. Since have previously expressed immigration intent you will have to show that your ties to Canada are stronger than your ties to the U.S.
  2. Which applies: your citizenship has a 1. visa exemption (no esta required), 2. visa waiver (esta required), or 3. visa requirement to visit the U.S.?
  3. s/negative/realistic/ s/demoralizing/informative/ and you have it correct. If I had $10 for every time I’ve read here or on Reddit that a tier 1 falsely told customers their interviews were waived, I’d have enough for free cappuccinos at Star Bucks twice or more a week; Grande of course. A handful of times it’s been true. Just like broken clocks are correct twice a day. False hope is worse than realism. Trust us: we all want your case to be approved quickly. Aside from concern for a fellow human, there is an ulterior motive: The faster your case and other cases are approved, the faster our cases get approved. Bluntly our cases are in your way, and your case is in our way. So when the time comes where there is something you can do to accelerate your case, you better believe we will advise you what to do to win and we will want you to do it fast. When you do get your green card please don’t lock it in your car unattended. The I-90 you will file after your card is stolen will just slow our cases down. Best wishes. I am out.
  4. I’ve never heard of being denied. Usually they take about a week end to end.
  5. Too bad you canceled your flights. That cost you leverage for option 1. Options: 1. I-551 stamp. These days this is unlikely as USCIS offices moan that they are too busy to take appointments. You live next door to one. Try a walk-in. 2. reroute return through Canada / Mexico 3. File I-131a the moment you arrive at your holiday destination 4. Sometimes renewals are lightning fast. Make sure someone has access to your mail box and can cope with sending it to you via FedEx or DHL.
  6. Do you have a credit card? Add your spouse as an authorized user.
  7. I won't speculate why Tier 1 officers misinform more than inform, but the data shows that they do.
  8. When did you marry? Have you filed I-130? Is I-130 approved? Has DS-260 been filed? Please correct and update your timeline: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=352079
  9. Because I-751 is filed, I believe your I-90 is null and void. Note that once I-751 is filed or is due to be field, new I-90 requests are not processed. I don’t believe so. If you are ordered to return the 10 year gc, attempt to schedule an info pass to get an I-551 stamp before returning.
  10. If she needs evidence of authorization to work her unrestricted social security card is that. Unless she needs to travel internationally or get a drivers license, does she need evidence of LPR status?
  11. It isn’t legal because he has immigrant intent and a Canadian’s non immigrant visitor visa exemption is single intent Even if there was no immigration intent, because he isn’t under age 21, his immigration category is not eligible for adjustment of status
  12. Seattle is different https://np.reddit.com/r/immigration/comments/hwkcbu/i751_taking_a_while_extension_letter_close_to/fz0amfz/ What seems to have changed is non combo interviews are now possible at a Seattle.
  13. So nobody cares what Greece says. This is issue is not the business of Greece. She was lied to. That’s illegal. And it’s an error for CBP to issue an ESTA to an LPR. She should be more worried that she didn’t identify herself as an LPR when she entered the U.S. Besides which, spending the majority of her time outside the USA was going to inevitably result in her being questioned and warned and/or given an NTA. She needs to file I-131 to get a re-entry permit. Wait for the biometrics and then she can leave for up to 2 years less a day. But why is she coming to the USA just once year? What does being an LPR do for her? Personally, if I wanted to retain LPR status, I would stay inside the USA for the next 5 years and then naturalize.
  14. Tier 1 officer most likely and tier 1 officers know less than a bucket of rocks.
  15. Call USCIS. Say “info pass” and request a tier 2 officer call you regarding an issue with your naturalization.
  16. USCIS has some of the worst IT systems and thus it is too soon to be concerned. Do check this daily. If after a week you have not received a written or electronic notice, call USCIS, say info pass, and request a tier 2 officer call you regarding your case.
  17. My certificate, issued in 2018, does not say that. I keep physical and electronic copies. I needed to mail a physical copy to register to vote. I would have done so even if my certificate said it was illegal. I was also required to make a physical copy to submit with my original for my passport application. Had I not done so, the passport agency would have kept my original. It is unthinkable for me to not have an electronic copy of mine with me at all times. I earned it. A naturalization certificate is also a valid I-9 document. And thus it is legal to make a copy of it.
  18. https://www.reddit.com/r/USCIS/comments/mvs428/n400_rejected_after_strange_rfe_help/
  19. Because your I-485 interview might be waived you should write a letter to the uscis service center , noting your case number and name and request that your name be changed to your original name. Include a copy of: - I-485 receipt - birth certificate - passport biographic and signature page This is not guaranteed to work.
