The “Energy Transition” Delusion: A Reality Reset

Last time I am going to say this and then I am out of this thread: HR can not legally require you produce a green card or evidence that you will get a green card. You need to start telling HR what you will do and versus letting them tell you what to do. They have no control here. They might imagine they have control. Every day they delay your employment is going to cost them money. I’m out.

Is their a deadline for filing n-400?
Mike E replied to JeffandNadine's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
I filed n-400 27 years late. They still approved me. -
Go to the nearest SSA office and get an unrestricted social security card. Then, if you don’t already have one, go to the state DMV and get a state identification card. You can now use your SS card and state ID as your I-9 documents. Note however that your employer is breaking the law. You, and only you, get to decided what I-9 documents you wish to use for your I-9. This is employment discrimination and the lawsuits invariably end poorly for the employer.

In 3 years I’ve seen it happen less than 5 times but each time it was reported that USCIS moved the case to a new state requiring the beneficiary to arrive the night before and over night. As you can guess, not all beneficiaries appreciate this. Personally we would go to any state or territory if it would accelerate our cases. But we have the means to do so. I wish one could self identity this flexibility in advance.

Situations where a passport / passport card might be insufficient: * security clearance for a role in federal government * certain roles in U.S. military * services from DMV when DMV cannot verify status using passport / passport card * registering to vote * petitioning a spouse or family member for a green card * applying for a passport / CRBA / certificate of citizenship for a child not born in USA * obtaining a social security number There are counter examples to above where a U.S. passport or passport card has been sufficient. These counter examines don’t prove that a passport or passport card will always work. We know for a fact they don’t always work. Once an adult citizen without who acquired citizenship through a parent had lacks a certificate of citizenship or CRBA gets stymied, finding the evidence decades after the fact can be hard, especially of the U.S. citizen parent has passed away.

I130 for Parents and Sibling
Mike E replied to Harsh683's topic in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
There are no derivatives for immediate family petitions. Your wife should file I-130s for each parent and her sister. When her parents enter the USA on their immigration visas, each parent should immediately file a I-130 for their daughter. -
Sounds unreasonable to me. The Democrat party campaigned and promised to flood the country with migrants and I don’t recall that it campaigned and promised to provide cities funding to cope with that promised flood of migrants. Voters voted for this policy last month. So Mayor Adams’s request is unreasonable. His residents voted for this and so his city will have to pay for the migrant flood out of existing city tax revenues. If he isn’t up to the task he can resign. The will of the people must be obeyed.

Ask that person to have a tier 2 officer call you. -
If they adopted sudden death over time, they would still be playing games from the round of 16. The tournament wouldn’t finish before the next one was due to start.

We will know Tuesday after some ballots are randomly selected: * 50 “ballot on demand ballots” from Election Day. Not sure what the goal here is. * 50 early ballots. The more of these the judges determines should have been marked as spoiled, the better for Lake. * 50 “ballot on demand” ballots that were marked spoiled. The more of these the judge determines were illegally marked spoiled the better for Lake.

LPR travel to Russia
Mike E replied to Asterix78's topic in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
1. Yes 3. No -
Is this for your child or someone else’s child? Why just the passport card? A passport card works like a passport and is for land and sea travel to Canada, Mexico, and parts of Central America and the Caribbean. Mostly useless unless you live next to a Mexican or Canadian border and frequently enter each country by car or foot. Its best use is an extra evidence of U.S. citizenship. On a daily basis I read sad stories it people who have lost there one evidence of U.S. citizenship and thus cannot work, travel, go to college, get a social security card, drivers license. So again why just a passport card? The requirements for a passport and passport card are the same. They require evidence of U.S. citizenship. A U.S. birth certificate or CRBA are two forms of evidence of U.S. citizenship. These are called primary forms of evidence. The child has neither and so will require secondary forms of U.S. citizenship: * long form Canadian birth certificate of child * marriage certificate of parents * long form birth certificate of father * evidence the father has physically presented in the USA for 5 * 366 days. 7 years of social security records from SSA.gov should work.

The child is most likely a U.S. citizen. If so, the child is not eligible for an I-130; those are only for non citizens. If the child is outside the USA, then parents should apply for a CRBA at the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. The parents can simultaneously get the child a U.S. passport. Once inside the USA, the parents should get the child a U.S. passport card. If the child is inside the USA, the parents should apply for a U.S. passport and U.S. passport card for the child. Once these two documents have been obtained, the parents should file N-600 to get the child a certificate of citizenship. There are no deadlines for passport, passport card, or certificate of citizenship. A CRBA must be obtained before the child reaches age 18.

NFT is the digital equivalent of a limited edition reprint of an original painting. In either case you can make a copy, but it won’t be a lawful copy. You might be asking, “so why do I care?” and that’s a valid question. For $99 people get to contribute to Trump 2024, and they might even have something in that has resale value down the road. Meanwhile the rest of NFT craze has pretty much cratered. A normal week of Trump’s life is better than a lifetime of a normal person’s life. He just had a week 100 times better than his normal week. 1. The twitter data drops vindicating his assertion of a rigged election 2. His NFT sale 3. His protege Kari Lake getting more judicial traction with her contest of the election in 2022 than any Republican since W in 2000.

RFE help
Mike E replied to ReshSamir's topic in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas
Seems like, 1. the petitioner (person who filed I-129F) needs to provide their entire tax year 2021 tax return. 2. you need a new joint sponsor who earns enough money. W-2 income is preferred. So you need a new I-864 for that new joint sponsor. 3. new joint sponsor needs to provide the entire 2021 tax return 4. need a copy of new joint sponsor’s U.S. birth certificate or green card or American Samoan birth certificate 5. current income is king. The joint sponsor should provide evidence of current income such as gross pay stubs -

Friend needs help
Mike E replied to Steve & Erma's topic in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas
Without evidence she had LPR status I don’t understand why the passport agency issued her a passport.
