  1. This is fine then. 1. if you don’t change your passport, you will need to book international flights in your passport name. 2. If your signature currently is readable and has both your first and surname it is a good idea to sign with your married name. Otherwise you are free to use your current signature.
  2. The left hand doesn’t know what the right is doing. You shouldn’t have been issued the 10 year card. Take the win. And congratulations.
  3. What name do you want the green card to be in? Married or maiden name?
  4. I agree. Worse case you can Re-file N-400. A conviction though will affect your job prospects, etc, forever.
  5. Wow. I thought conventional wisdom was that a WoM for a case in AP was generally a waste of money for a consular case. What changed? I am now exiting the Twilight Zone and returning to my universe.
  6. Your timeline says the interview was less than a month ago. I am surprised any lawyer is willing to take the case after so little time. I don’t see a judge granting WoM yet.
  7. The use of the word “fled” is interesting because the officer seems to be asserting your state of mind when you left the scene.
  8. I can certainly believe they are not part of your application. They were part of my wife’s application and my own application.
  9. Surprised you were able to change your name at SSA and DMV with changing the gc. There may be a day of reckoning for you later. Book international flight tickets in your passport name.
  10. Yes good point. OP should not file until in the U.S. residing continuously in one state for 3 months.
  11. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nolo_contendere It means you have a conviction on your record.
  12. Yes. Registered mail is slow by design because it uses chain of custody.
  13. A GP at a clinic owned by historical will be the most expensive, as will any lab work, images, etc at that hospital Finding a GP that is taking new patients on short notice can be a challenge. Start booking now.
  14. If you left Aug 4 and came back Aug 6, while there are 2 days between those two dates, August 4 and August 6 count as days in USA. Just August 5 is a day of absence. So that is 1 day of absence. There are 181 days between August 4 and February 1. So by induction that is 180 days of absence. That will not break continuous residency. Why take a chance the flight will not be delayed or canceled? Come home now.
  15. Can’t follow. What was the date left the USA? What was the day you returned?
