  1. 1. The law is the law. 2. There was no shortage of materials on this site warning you to not submit evidence that referred to each other as a spouse.
  2. You might as well see it through then versus get married formally now. Either. Some embassies are more strict: the slightest suspicion that the couple is married is enough to deny K-1.
  3. Possibly. Depending on the embassy, likely. When did you file I-129F?
  4. I’ve no confidence that Walgreens photos will be accepted, simply because the workers there have no formal training in photography and certainly none in photo standards required by immigration authorities. Fewer than 50 percent of photos I’ve had taken at Walgreens are accepted by either the U.S. or Canadian passport agencies. Once I detected that pattern, I stopped using Walgreens and other drug stores. I mean think about it: you wouldn’t get a photo at a liquor store or a cannabis shop? Why a drug store? Someday Canada’s passport agency will adopt 21st century standards. I can produce superior results from my iPhone. USPS priority mail is great for domestic stuff. It is poor for international, and then you have to keep in mind that Canada Post(e) is going to take over once it crosses the border (and to do so requires clearance by both CBP and CBSA which can take weeks). Canada Post(e) is just awful and prone to wild cat strikes. I’ve always used FedEX for my Canadian passport applications. I’ve never noticed it used PQ instead of QC. QC is the mandated abbreviation. Since it never leaves FedEX’s system in probably doesn’t matter. Still, I suppose it is time to switch to DHL, which years of VJ reading has taught that is the one true universal courier.
  5. In what state of the USA did this happen?
  6. You spoke to tier 1 officer. They know nothing. You will have to file I-90 to get a 10 year gc. There is no fee for this. Before you file I-90 do the following: * make an electronic copy of the front and back of the gc * Go to SSA to get your green card * Go to the state dmv to get a REAL ID drivers license * Apply for ACA health care if you need health insurance.
  7. He can travel to Canada with his Australian passport and one on of the following: * approved eTA, * unexpired I-551 stamp He can return by air to the U.S. with his Australian passport and one of the following: * his unexpired I-551 stamp * boarding foil (starts with I-131a) He can return by land to the U.S. with his Australian passport. A copy of his lost green card will help as will his I-751 receipt. He can expect to pay an I-193 fee.
  8. By law, provided you maintain residency in your state or USCIS field office district between the interview and oath it is fine. In addition, by policy provided this doesn’t drop physical presence below 50 percent for the statutory period (usually 3 or 5 years) before oath it is fine. There is a legal theory that this policy is illegal but I haven’t seen a successful challenge. I traveled between interview and oath, and so has my wife (who takes oath later this month). You want to travel now because there is no telling when a U.S. passport will be issued.
  9. Did you really get a certificate of naturalization or was it a certificate of citizenship? If the former, the. Assuming bean sprout means < 18 years old that is unusual and it will raise more questions. So I would not submit that regardless. If your U.S. passport issue date is prior to the I-129F filing date, a passport should suffice. DoS issued the passport and so it should not need your primary proof of citizenship since it has a copy of that in its records. Meanwhile I would file to get a corrected or original certificate of citizenship so that when I-485 comes up, you are prepared if the ISO insists on that versus your U.S. passport. Worst case you give the ISO your NOA1 from your filing of N-565 or N-600 as applicable.
  10. This is quite disagreeable. Cilantro is as American as apple pie.
  11. I thought … you were … out? Promises promises. De-federalizing stuff that shouldn’t be federalized is a fantastic accomplishment. America is a loose federation of 50 countries, and we are each free to live in the country that suits us the most. If your state forces rape victims to give birth, you can solve this at polling booth or a few clicks on your uHaul app. Keystone XL would have given America effective control over all of Alberta’s remaining exploitable oil. As a natural born Albertan I prefer to have Houston oil companies control my oil than that scum creep Justin Castreau. Seems like you prefer blood oil from the people who architected 9/11 versus Alberta oil. Number of Albertan billionaires who fund terrorism in USA: zero Number of OPEC billionaires who fund terrorism in USA: countless Anyway oil is so last century. My Tesla runs on coal mined in America by an American for an American. The dirtier the coal the better as far as I am concerned. It might be dirty but it doesn’t fund terrorism or slavery. Would rather see black clouds from coal burning power plants than smoke from burning skyscrapers knocked down by oil terrorists. Coal: the fuel of the future.
  12. One bill for each utility per quarter since the day of the I-485 interview or if there was no interview, the day I-485 was filed.
  13. DS-160 is an online form. Not understanding the question. Some embassies accept scanned signature on I-134 and some don’t.
  14. Delta right? She didn’t get to Mexico. And had she arrived she would have been permitted to enter. Let’s see them. Let’s see stories where Mexican immigration officers denied entry. Same thing is more likely to happen with any other country with the exceptions of the USA and Canada, the only countries know of that explicitly post in English that extension letters are ok. Pretty sure St Martin won’t take your green card. By all means travel elsewhere. Personally Mexico didn’t put Covid garbage rules in my way. It’s the only country that actually wants my business. And that includes the USA btw.
  15. You are good to go when flying most U.S. airlines. Delta is the exception. Your visa is not valid for entry to U.S. or Mexico. No need to complicate it. Use your extension letter.
  16. I don’t know how to book your county clerk online. I do know how book usps online. Otherwise for a simple case, I don’t think there won’t be any difference. For a complex case like a passport for a minor who acquired citizenship automatically through the naturalization of a parent, all I read about is how usps botches the process, usually by refusing to allow the custodial parent to send required evidence. A county clerk can’t be worse. Since their day job is closer to what a competent passport acceptance agency does, I would put money on the county clerk getting this right.
