  1. That is an intriguing and astute question. You raise a good point. Withdraw the B visa request since there is little upside and plenty of downside.
  2. You will not be able to work nor leave the U.S. Why are you attracted to a K-1 when a CR-1 lets you keep your job?
  3. A public official with an 80K net worth would not be crucified over forgetting about $1200 in stocks. That it is $120K, granted more money than most people have, makes for great headlines and will have about as much traction as emollients charges against a president
  4. As I wrote before, in my opinion, application was made in Los Angeles. My first GC has no indication of what service center processed it, and for my I-90, I answered Chicago for both questions, since that was where I interviewed. I doubt this answer matters. Put down what you wish.
  5. When they file DS-260 with NVC, inform NVC then that they want their interviews scheduled on the same day, together.
  6. Some foreign immigration departments take a keen interest in U.S. immigration policy, some to the point where the local U.S. consulate holds periodic training classes. For example the U.S. embassy teaches the Pakistan immigration department to deny exit to LPRs who have been outside the U.S. for more than 180 days. Thus, if a foreign immigration officer became aware that you are an LPR, the officer might conclude the B visa is not valid. This could happen on entry, or exit, and IMHO the latter will be the worse outcome. In addition, IME as a former GC holder, airlines sometimes asked me for my GC before leaving the US. The airline might conclude your B visa is not valid. Finally, the U.S. shares immigration records with some countries. In the second link I gave you, most countries that accept B visas require valid B visas. Do you consider your B visa valid. It appears Taiwan is an exception. So if she is a citizen of one of the following countries, Cambodia India Indonesia Laos Myanmar Vietnam enjoy your trip to Taiwan. Otherwise my advice is to enjoy your ski trip to Canada.
  7. Assuming you are in the U.S. now, https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-7-part-b-chapter-7 does not list A-2 as an ineligible visa from which to adjust status. You can but why would you? Marry, and go for the CR-1 visa.
  8. In 2021, her net worth was $8M per https://marketrealist.com/p/jennifer-granholm-net-worth/ We are talking about $120K in stocks. 1.5 percent of her net worth. While I dislike her, this is a nothing burger. She should be impeached for having her goons block an EV charging spot.
  9. Then be conservative. For examples, if you recall being gone for * part of say March 2003, enter March 1-31 as your absence. * part of winter 2008, enter December 20, 2007 to March 21, 2008 as your absence
  10. None of this makes any sense to me. 1. if a beneficiary has a green card, then why would one file I-130 2. While I would need to see the previous screen that led you here, I think it is also time to get on with your filing. I am convinced: online I-130 is not ready for prime time for your situation; and I recommend paper filing for your case.
  11. Now now, that’s just your inner colonizer talking. VPs at Big Tech pay $200K in taxes to the state of California each year. They can easily take out a second mortgage and pay this off in 2-3 years.
  12. yay! I am going to have fried chicken in your honor tomorrow. What an amazing data point! You took one for the team and won! Congrats!
  13. I asume you had a lease before you re-entered the U.S. if so, and you spend the majority of those 3 months in the U.S. then I think you are good
  14. The city the LPR lived in when I-485 was filed: The USCIS office with jurisdiction over the LPR at the time I-485 was approved. no If the LPR lived in Los Angeles, yes. I have no idea why uscis asks these useless questions. Or why USCIS does not simply the answers on the GC like it used to.
  15. Only millionaires are affected. Why would they leave? The reparations are loose change for them.
  16. You can, but she needs to hit the submit button
