    Never send original marriage certificates either. USCIS does not want them and if it decides it does not want the joh of safeguarding such a document for a 100 years, it will send it back, thus delaying the case.

    Usps was your passport office. Best strategy is to book a passport appointment as soon as you know the date of oath. Otherwise book refundable international travel reservations and get an emergency appoibtment.

I personally consider any ISO, CO, or CBP officer who demands wedding plans to be mentally defective. As for: “photos of an engagement event”, including these can, not surprisingly, result in denial of the K-1 visa. Engagement events should be as informal as possible, and can happen later or not at all. A quiet dinner between the couple is fine. A 1000 guest “engagement” event, is a denial.
