  1. Definitely. Violating I-9 rules is an easy lawsuit for the LPR to win. I am not convinced courts will see it the same way for housing. Hence my advice to move on after the complaint and the review. Living rent free in your head is one thing. Living rent free in your legal budget is another.
  2. Imagine if hotels refused reservations because the guest was not a U.S. citizen. I suppose they would be expected to live in tent cities until they could produce a green card, no doubt the 10 year variant only.
  3. File the HUD complaint, leave negative reviews (google, etc) then find another place. Stop letting these racists live rent free in your head.
  4. You showed SSA your stamped IR-1 passport right?
  5. Haha. This reminds me of a George Carlin joke: “Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.” Referring to the drone at the first SSA office. I would told you to drive a spiral pattern of SSA offices that took you to Alaska, California, Florida, and Maine if that was what it took. Happy for you.
  6. Now go to second nearest SSA office.
  7. Some argue they do not have to rent to non citizens either. Without green cards And those aren’t the documents the land lord is looking for: C’mon guys. Some of you, like me, are married to members of a visible minority. Call it what it is. Candide was a fictional person.
  8. File a discrimination complaint with HUD. https://www.hud.gov/sites/documents/DOC_12150.PDF
  9. Call USCIS, say “info pass”, and request a tier 2 officer contact you.
  10. You will need to correct this at the visa interview
  11. Even then that is not enough. Issued visas can get rescinded. When a visa is finally issued, the beneficiary needs to make haste to America.
  12. He could not. See: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2023/visa-bulletin-for-june-2023.html to see what the valid categories are. I an sorry, but the law is clear: until a visa number is available no visa can be issued. Apply for a B-2 visa so she can visit him.
  13. 1. Contact NVC and withdraw your I-864 now. 2. Contact USCIS and withdraw your I-130.
  14. Go to the nearest SSA office and apply for your SSN.
  15. File now since the clock is ticking. Figure it out later
