I read back a few pages and saw I missed a discussion about weddings. I went to the wedding of my oldest and dearest friend the weekend before last in Oregon. She and her man are big into Lord of the Rings, and they were dressed as hobbits. It was the cutest thing I'd ever seen.

I still have yet to do a hobbit wedding...I always look forward to seeing something different. But I will pass on the naked men dancing to "Loveshack".

Not too much James Brown Nagi. But I will tell you something funny about "Loveshack" that happen at a wedding my friend did. It turned out the reception was "clothing optional" and he was unaware of it. He said they kept trying to get him to join in the festivities. But he said he was never more afraid until he saw naked men upclose dancing to "Loveshack" in front of him and next to him! I think he earned his tip that night!

It depends on what people like as far as music. I once did a wedding reception where the bride only wanted punk music. Nothing else. Of course, the older people there were complaining after the 2nd punk song. I told them the bride specifically wanted only punk music and they would have to talk to her. The older people left. But the reception was pretty wild!

Congrats then! I'm actually not working this weekend for once. I'm a wedding DJ for the last 10 years. I decided to take it easier this year and relax more. Besides, my girls (3 daughters) needed to be with me more this summer.

I love working weddings...well, at least, most of them. I sometimes have to deal with some very drunk people that are so pushy and cause situations. They want "their" song next by any means necessary. Then to have them breathe all over me almost makes me drunk sometimes!
