I have a feeling you will be approved in under a week. But please be patient 🙏🏽 To me it looks like your interview went well if you take out interpreter part 👍🏼
Thank you, first God that happens... I think I should have done the interview without the interpreter and it would have been so much better. 🙏🏼

Don't worry you'll be fine I think by end of the day you might have a decision or worst case scenario two, three days alright? Relax.😊👍
@stillwinning
Thank you so much, I’m praying for that.
I don’t know if I overthinking but I realized now that I told the officer two dates that were not accurate 😭😭😭 she asked me from what date I was living in my current address and I said dec 2019 but I send the change of address in March 2019.
She also asked since when I was part of the group of church in my home country and I said around 2014 but the letter I gave them said 2012.
do you think I am in trouble because of those mistakes? 😭🥺

Good morning my VAWA family I just wanted to share my interview experience:
My interview time was 9am, I arrived at 8:45. Just 9am in the morning the officer called me, she seems to be very nice, she asked me about my attorney and interpreter, I said they’ll be by phone. She asked me my id and passport and took copies of them, then she asked me basic questions, she corrected 3 question in the form. At some point she kind of get pissed with the interpreter because was not translating every word (the officer speaks Spanish). The officer told me that my English was very good and I told her that I just wanted to make sure I understand everything because of nervous. She asked me the NO and Yes question ( she had a very strong looking at me, but I did Eyes contact all the time. The interview just took around 25 min...
then she said “ ok, we corrected 3 questions in the form, please sign here and you should have our decision Mail to this address in the next few days”
Is this normal? Based on your experience? How long it would take to have the decision? 😭😭😭😭 this wait is endless!!!!!!
thank you in advance

Wow online - that's crazy. Happy they are still doing interviews though during pandemic. What is your local office? Also did they explain how are you supposed to provide any documents they may need - tax returns and things like that?
I’m not very sure how the process is going to be but I still need to be present, they’re just going to send me to a room where there will be an iPad and the interview would be trough it. It won’t be face to face but I will still have to go to the Uscis building.my local office is Boston.

Normal to be anxious dear but you'll be alright. The certain questions are the i485 yes/no ones..you may be asked questions depending on your peculiar situation. Go with all originals of your important documents..be confident but polite. As long as you don't have admissibility issues you'll be fine!👍
Thank you, you’re always here for all of us!
God bless you 🙏🏼 -

Hello, congratulations in advance in making it this far! Interview is the final step, We just need to look into officers eyes and answer honestly. You will do great! I had my interview recently and was approved same day.
i was only asked for 2019 tax returns but took birth and marriage certificates along with certified translation, pay stubs, ead cards, vawa approval notice.
i had a chatty and thorough officer. He was cracking jokes in between to lighten up the mood but when asking questions looked straight into my eyes. He was not wearing a mask, but i had it on all through except when taking oath. Interview lasted 40 minutes.
- asked for passport
- full name
- dob- where do you work?- spouse name- where did you meet- where and when did you get married- arranged or love marriage- any children- ALL yes/no questions!- asked for 2019 tax returns- asked if i have any other documentation to provide. I asked if i can give pay stubs or show original documents. He said he doesn’t need thoseAt the end he told me that if no more documents are needed i will get card in 4-6 weeks. Else i will get rfe.
Same day evening, officer called me on my cell! He confirmed my mailing address and soon after status updated to Card production!!Please make sure you have all required documents and go through aos and vawa packages. Please wear business casuals as that makes a good impression. (I saw few in casual clothes which didn’t look appropriate) Make sure to be on time (not earlier than 15 mins) and provide concise answers to questions. You will do well!!
Thank you so much for such a great explanation and advices! I really appreciate it 🙏🏼
in my local office I was told my interview will be trough an iPad (Microsoft meetings) due the COVID regulations, I’m praying for everything will be fine that day. I’m going by myself with God with me. I’ll have my interpreter by phone.

I’ll have my AOS interview next week, as I am very nervous and anxious I’ll like to hear from those who had the interview, any advice? Anything that I should bring with me?
praying for everyone to get your case approved!

She probably made a mistake..but C31 has 180 days ext. Talk to your attorney about it..and possible ways to rectify.👍
I just talked to her by phone and she said that there was no mistake that the correct category is C09 and C31 can not be renewed, she said that I can keep working. So I think she doesn’t know anything about Vawa 😫

But did you apply for one, but never received it?
No, I never applied for category C09, I was without work authorization for 19 months until my Vawa was approved back in February 2020 and I just sent the renewal and just got the receipt but the lawyer request C9, I’m so confused ☹️

Did you ever apply/receive C09 EAD?
No, never! Just got the EAD c31 when they approved my Vawa. Currently waiting for interview notice for my I 485

Good morning family.
I just got an email from my lawyer with the receipt of my EAD renewal but I noticed that she requested C09 and the EAD that I have is C31 (approved Vawa) 😫😫... Does it mean that my EAD doesn’t have the 180 extension because it doesn’t match the class requested on the form?

You need to sent Copy of your I-360 approval notice, 2 passport style photo, Copy of your current C31 EAD card, and payment fee $410.00
Thank you so much! Yes, the lawyer ask me the 2 passport style photo as well, she didn’t say anything about copy of the current C31 and copy of Vawa approval but now I know it has to be included in the package, I’ll check on that! Thanks again
-
Good morning everyone!
My Vawa was approved on February 2020, received my courtesy letter on August 2020, I’m in Massachusetts, still waiting for interview notice!
Since my EAD will expire in a few months I want to send the renewal but the attorney insisted we should wait until the end of the year to see if I have an interview but I told her that I rather pay the fee and send the renewal anyways because it looks like Waiting list for interview is very long.
My question is: what documents do I need to send for the C31 EAD renewal? She said I have two send one payment for 410$ and another one 85$ for biometric, USCIS website says that for category C31 doesn’t need to send the 85$ but she insisted to send it anyways and I’m afraid they reject the form because of that and delayed it even more?

Hello everyone! So I have been pondering heavily lately on filing the divorce because I want to get it over with. I want to move on. I was doing a lot of research about filing a divorce by publication for the mere reason that I really don't want to have a contact with my ex anymore. To him or anyone in his circle. Also I don't know where exactly he is now. But I found out that in order to do the publication I have to prove to the court that I have a made every effort to find him (which I don't want to do). Has anyone done the divorce by publication? Finding him just to file a divorce is giving me anxiety to the roof. I really don't want to have anything to do with him anymore.
Suggestions please.
Hi, do you have a past or active restraining order on him? I’m currently in the process of divorce, because I have a restraining order and have no idea his address, my attorney filed for divorce by publication which was approved by the court, now just waiting for the summons to publish (but it’s taking so long to get it. More than 4 months waiting)

This as discussed earlier is the courtesy letter informing you of the missing medicals in your file. NBC sends out this letter..so yeah your file is at NBC..but mo worries..shortly after they send out the letter they move the file to the local office where your petition joins the queue for interview. There's no way of knowing exactly how long you'll wait..one person might wait for 5months..the next person 12months and so on...best just hold on till something happens!👍
Thank you so much for your response, this journey is just about patience 🙏🏼

Hello family, I hope everyone is safe and healthy!!
I’m here this time to ask if anyone else has received this letter?
Today this letter arrived in my mail.
I sent my complete package in July 2018
My Vawa was approved in February 2020, the next day I received a notification that my I-485 had been received at my local office but now I am confused that I receive this letter from NBC, does it mean that my folder is not in local office?
I have already been waiting 6 months for an interview, my local office is Boston Massachusetts, is there somebody from the same local office? After this letter, how long it will usually take to get an interview?
thank you in advance for your always support and help, God bless you all!!

Oh great your file is sitting pretty at the local office waiting for an interview slot. Nice.☺ I don't know why they are denying most i765 after VAWA approval...mine was approved though. Yes after VAWA approval. So I have both EADs. Anyway it's the final stretch now..brace yourself..like I said, it's all coming together!☺👍
Thank you so much for your kind words and thank you for being here for everyone❤️
