I checked out the price of the smart scoop cat litter at Costco and it doesn't seem to badly priced either.

Thanks I will have to save up for it, as I can just imagine the Hillbilly will not be impressed with the price tag. I also like the idea that litter can be found on sale at Costco. I like the Fresh Step crystals because of no dust and no clay smell. But I'm will to test that clay out later before I make a big splurge on the box. So far the old litter box is working good.

Is this regular AP or did they ask for the DS5535? There have been plenty of members with just AP get out of it without having to file a WOM. Not many given DS5535 have been able to get out without the WOM. Regular AP in Montreal is about 8 weeks or it was give or take. DS5535 has been a deep hole and most only get out with the WOM. It's a sad place for Canada these days.

This is more rare then the norm. Go look and the AOS from Tourist visa forum. You will see many more waiting over a year. Lets not derail this thread further. I hate to have to remove posts that were genuine because we started derailing things.

Yes you are right there are certain times when it is completely legal. There is no point bringing up the other options at this point as that was not an available option or the question to this thread. It is very frustrating, I have my own theory why this is happening so much in Montreal. But this is not the place to rant about it because it is my theory and only that. The EAD has been taking much longer then 4-5 months if lucky 8 months is the new norm. It could be speeding up but I'm not sure. So depending when the folks you know did it may also reflect the faster pace of the IR/CR that used to happen. Of course lawyers will say all kinds of things they aren't the ones who gets into trouble if it fails and then they are the ones that get the big bucks to try and fix it. The lawyers who are actually advocating this should be reported if they are outright telling you to commit fraud.

I'm going to talk very general here and not necessarily to you or the other member who asked this. So here goes, planning to go to the US and AOS is fraud and against the TOS of this website. YOu would have to start all over and the AOS is taking even longer. Will there be any issues because of the pending file and the DS5535 I do not know. But at this point it will not be easier.

Many of us have been on VJ long enough to have seen that just because a child looks like the father does not mean he was the father. I'm sorry but as your friend was in a brief relationship with someone he barely knew. He cannot be for certain he is the father. She could have been pregnant when she came here, or met someone else and had a fling with or even planned this all out. It would not be the first time and it will not be the last time. He does not need to travel anywhere or have her and her child come to the US. Get the DNA test ordered at a trust worthy clinic in Colombia and his done stateside. Once he knows for certain then he can make plans on what to do. Or he can wait to see what she does next. Regardless that DNA needs to be done. Adding SSI will need your friends income and if he makes too much they will not qualify. She also cannot get SSI and live outside the US with the child. Seems like the plan is to use the child to stay state side.

Ds-160 for her child (merged threads)

It can be be an issue and it has happened to others. Even after 20yrs of not drinking still caused trouble for some. It will also show up on her criminal record check and should be also disclosed during the medical. It really is going to depends what the doctor will write and how the IO will handle it. That also can be country specific. Hard to give a really good reply when we don't know the country/consulate your wife will be dealing with.

Haha still not much to do in Sudbury My father worked there often over the years (iron worker/welder) He has a piece of slag still in his neck. Years later the doctors still don't want to touch it.
