Exactly, one can be on disability or welfare as long as the US citizen has the income it will not even be questioned. I was in those shoes. Now where the trouble could be is that being married the OP would also have to report the USC spouse's income and that may cause issues with disability(depending on the type of disability, plus it takes years for disability to be approved in most cases). This is one reason the fiancé visa is worth it.

I was engaged before my divorce was final. It was not an issue, but as SalishSea mentioned that will all depend on the consulate involved.

But you should get a response from them even if it is the boiler plate of you just have to wait. Make sure in your email you explain that you are inquiring if they have sent out package 3 as some of your mail was discarded. I know you hit a brick wall with them so far but try again. Many Canadians have used that email so it is possible the wrong person was responding to your email. Yes it sucks they don't take phone calls but it has been nearly 20 yrs since they have.

Tbone is holding up, the Ex brought over a generator so he can run a fan and the fridge. Hopefully not too much actually spoiled. Mini-B tested out he milk and it fine. The line men were working a street over, but the recording he gets says it could be several days before power is restored. Hopefully that is not the case as he is melting.

The thing about asking to have the visa re-validated. It needs to be in the same 90 day window of the first visa. So if she goes home and then contacts the consulate/embassy there needs to be enough time to get the passport sent back to them, get it re-issued, have her enter back in the US and get married all in the left over original 90 days. It would make much more sense to get married tomorrow and get the forms sent off ASAP. Once you get the receipt she can try for emergency AP.

I think you should take a look at the link posted above by Appleblossom. Not one single person is a pro at these things when they've never looked at the forms before. Everyone learns how to do the forms the same way by taking it one step at a time. If you decide to give it a go and have more questions members would be happy to help out.

I heard from Tbone, they are all safe but no power. Damage was a shared back fence. Hopefully his freezer can keep cold and not have too much food spoiling. He's not looking forward to the sun coming out. I don't blame him about that. The sun has been overcast the last few days and it makes a big difference. It may be awhile before he gets back online to share his nightly updates.

I would speak to an attorney who is familiar with AWA. Any other attorney is just wasting your time and money. Pleading down does not change the original charge either, USCIS will see everything.

I also won't take calls, or text messages. It's all through FB messenger or they can take a hike. Cash at pick up too. I would bet the email was fake from them too.
