  1. That's great so he needs a closed enclosure it retains heat and humidity the best. Check out that forum I linked. It will give you the most up to date care guides for the little one. Also they have plenty of pictures to build your own closed enclosure. Or you can buy some PVC enclosures. They are really nice and for a small one like yours much more practical.
  2. I'm not expert on Russian Tortoises, but I don't think dwarf tortoises exist. Russians tortoises are escape artistes. This is the forum I learned update care information. Stay off of Fb and YT for care information. Most of those places have been regurgitating the same out dated information and it does more harm then good. https://tortoiseforum.org/ Now they can sometimes come across harsh and the overload of information can be overwhelming on there but if whoever takes care of it puts the time in they will have a very happy tortoise experience. Where did your wife get it from and how big is it? Most Russian tortoises in the pet stores are wild caught and at least 5 yrs old. Care for a baby is quite different then an adult. Good thig about a Russian tortoise is they are hardy and can live indoors in any state unlike some others.
  3. Sadly way to many who have received the DS 5535 have zero links to Iran.
  4. Consult an immigration lawyer. It has been said on here so many times that adoption severs the parent child relationship. Legally once she was adopted she is no longer his child. Just because a child now looks like him does not mean it is his. Until dna test are established it is just an assumption. Not to mention if he lists her as his child they will want proof of child support For all those years. That will stop his naturalization cold turkey.
  5. Thanks, that is what I read too. I guess we will find out if I can get him to come with us on Friday. I'm hoping he will come but he's stubborn.
  6. My son, daughter in law and new granddaughter are moving to Arkansas on Friday. I'm so freaking excited it's crazy. I'm trying to convince my dad to come down to visit too. It would be great for him to meet his new great granddaughter and see his other grandchildren. He hasn't seen kid #2 in 13 yrs. It would be so good for him.
  7. Mini- B is old enough to make sure miu is taken care of properly. He can get good advice from you.
  8. I've been taking care of my dad (Canadian)for the last 5 weeks. I want to bring him back with me to Visit only. My sister will come get him in October. Does anyone know if we need to register, I went through the form and it say no but maybe I messed it up. I want him to visit his grandchildren and his new great granddaughter. At 82 every day is a blessing and I want one more good visit for him.
  9. Can't even let your friends walk on your own property https://www.facebook.com/share/r/175Q24zsZy/
  10. My FB is going crazy and it seems Newfound land is doing it too. They are the ones with the 150k fines.
  11. This is nuts and they just upped the fines up to 150,000 and up to 1 year in jail. The police are getting so many calls they can't keep up. A Nova Scotia man has been slapped with a fine worth more than $28,000 after deliberately violating the province's ban on woods travel, a move he says was necessary to challenge the provincial proclamation in court. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/n-s-man-purposely-violates-ban-on-entering-woods-gets-handed-28k-fine-1.7606766
  12. A little bit different than the fiance visa. Your fiance had to adjust status to get the Green card. Your step daughter will have her green card sent to her automatically the stamp in her passport will be a temporary CG. So she will need to file a re-entry permit and get biometrics done for that.
  13. Re-entry permit is the way to go. Do as much as you can that Appleblossom has mentioned. Get her a DL, get her a bank account and apply for re entry right away. She must get her biometrics done before leaving the US so make sure to apply the minute she lands. That plus all the trips home is what she needs to do.
  14. Don't worry about your daughter's age. She has to enter the country before 21 not have her green card before 21.

  17. I've been in Canada almost 3 weeks now. Taking care of my dad all because of two rounds of steroids for nerve pain. He went from being able do everything, walking and driving to Tim Hortons get his coffee and then drive to the park to watch the boats. To not getting out of bed for 3 days, couldn't stand on his own two feet for another 3 days. Then getting some strength back but barely. My sister has to work, she's been out of work for almost two years and was about to pay 150$ a day do have health care of some sort come by for 4 hours a day. So I flew to Traverse City and had her pick me up there. Prices are nuts flying to them. Saved 1k+ doing it this way. Had a doctor's appointment Friday with a specialist because his doctor was thinking leukemia. Turns out every single thing is caused by the steroids. It seems when you're younger it's no big deal but at 82 it cause muscle wasting. On top of all that my sister finds out he has COPD. I was like ya he's had it when they still had the house. So she calls the doctor and finds out he's had it since 2005. 20 freezing years and he still smoked. I made him stop when I got here. Since he can't run off to buy them it is the perfect time. So anyways, I'm here trying to get him stronger, while also trying not to cause any flair ups with his COPD.
  18. ~~Moved to AOS Family K1 K3 from K1 Process and Procedures - The OP is working on AOS~~
  19. Are you two only separated for work? Do you visit her and the kids and still sleep under the same roof? Does she visit with the kids at your place too?
  20. ~~Move to Finding Work in America, from IR1/CR1 P&P- as the OP is asking about applying for work before the SSN is in hand.~~
  21. ~~Moved to Effects of Major Family Changes, from AOS from K1 Process and Procedure- as this is not a K1 processing question.~~
