  3. I have no help on where to look or how to do it. Just wanted to wish you good luck.
  4. ~~One post has been removed as the quote was edited from its original format. Please do not change another member's post when you quote it. It also English only in the main forums. Please be careful if you are using a program to translate.~~
  5. Use the one that has your adopted father on. When you get adopted they usually issue a new birth certificate. That is the one you use from that point on.
  6. Sometimes other offices take on cases to get them processed faster. Sure it is a drive to get there but if kept at the closer office it would add months to their case.
  7. Did she fill out all the forms in her married name? If she did then you may be able to fix it with submitting the I-90 form to correct it at their cost as it was their error.
  8. I can totally understand being done. @Old_Glory said it best. You have done so much research, so much fighting. I don't think any of us can even begin to comprehend every stone you turned every page you've read. All of what you have done over and over and over again. It is easy for all of us to say keep fighting. We're not the ones going through all of this. Only you know when enough is enough. Do what is best for you.
  9. Selling before the move save a lot of headaches.
  10. ~~Posts split off as the direction the OP is now taking is no longer a K1. Thread is moved to IR1/Cr1 P&P~~
  11. ~~Thread locked to further replies. Several post have been split off and move to the IR1/CR1 P&P - as the OP is now married.~~
  12. ~~Moved to What Visa DO I Need, from IR1/CR1- as the OP is looking into options~~
  13. I'm going to be the odd duck here and say to AOS. You are already in the US and yes working when you should not be. If this is ever found out the next time you cross kiss your ability to come back goodbye. That is until you get the spousal visa approved. Another issue is the way Montreal is handing out the DS5535 like candy. If you get caught up in with that form you can add another yr to your process. Since working without authorization is forgiven to spouses of USC get married and get the ball rolling now. How long is AOS taking these days? It's always possible he would get the 10y card if things are still going slow.
  14. ~~MOved to Bringing Family of US Permanent Resident, form IR1/CR1 P&P the oP is a long way away from being a USC which leaves this as his only option.~~
  15. I should watch what coupons we get. I don't pay attention to them as we no longer eat out. I will watch and then mail them to you if any are good.
  16. That is great news to read about your mom. How's your foot. We chose the invisalign for the Tornado. Much less frustration, no food restrictions and we do not need to worry about proper cleaning and pitting with regular braces. Also a lot less pain compared to braces. Price was the same for either so why not. So far she is right on track with her treatment plan. I have a friend who is doing her kids treatment in Mexico. Even with regular visits back she said it was still cheaper then in the US.
  17. ~~MOved to the PI Regional forum, from K1 P&P - as the OP is asking about divorce and their may be some PI specifics answers needed.~~
  18. ~~Thread locked to further replies. The OP has not been back in over 3 yrs, the quoted member in over a year. PLease start a new thread if you have questions about your own case.~~
  19. Yes it will be considered abandoned. You start from scratch by doing. AOS. Also for those that have changed direction please make your way to the AOS forum and not disrupt this thread further.
  20. As the others have mentioned that person is completely and totally wrong. If she leave the US before her AP is in hand they will consider her AOS abandoned. Plus it would not be possible to show up for biometrics without actually getting AOS filed and just to get your receipt for filling it will take longer than her Christmas break.
  21. ~~Moved to the PI Regional forum, from General Immigration Discussion~~
  22. ~~Moved to What Visa Do I Need, from K1 P&P - the OP is exploring options~~ From what you wrote above the CR1 (marriage visa) would be better to go with if working soon after arrival is important. Even if the K1 was approved by December. No way you can get married, adjust and get AP/EAD during winter break. That is no way enough time.
