Adam Walsh Act Waiver for a juvenile crime?
Ontarkie replied to jems921's topic in IMBRA Special Topics
Sealed record will always and forever be able to be seen by immigration. Even if you marry first they will still do a background check on you, the K1 just wants you to declare it first. Before you do anything you need to search the forums and find the lawyers used in the successful cases. Then get yourself a consult to find out your chances. You will need to also make sure your fiancé is fully aware of everything, every detail. They will ask her about it and can deny her the visa if she does not fully understand what happened. -

K-1 Visa with Prenup
Ontarkie replied to johnxman's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
The short answer is yes and can be much longer like the rest of his or her life depending on work or not. A prenup may also be tossed out of court if your fiancé does not have adequate representation or gets a good divorce lawyer who knows what he is doing. -

US Elementary school question
Ontarkie replied to maxy's topic in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
Honestly good teachers are no longer able to do what they do best. Schools period suck now days. Teachers don't have the time or ability to do what they used to do. If you're in a bad area the teachers spend more time redirecting kids then they do teaching. Gifted kids will always excel, they can figure things out on there own. Kids who need help suffer more and more and never truly get the help they need. You're lucky if your kids gets properly tested and intervention, and even luckier if they actually if the teachers follow that intervention. (Yes I know by law they have to follow the IEP's, doesn't mean they will) If your district has school choice you will have to find out the deadlines to submit the request for a certain school. Sadly midyear you may not get a choice. -

Enough evidence?
Ontarkie replied to RobertHopkins's topic in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
Looks good, I was never on the house or bills. WE did however have plenty of medical bills with the kids and myself on his insurance. Showing paid from a joint account. We also included vet bills, junk mail. -
I don't remember ever seeing the requirement to have a notarized letter from an Ex. Trying to get an Ex to sign something would be like getting blood from a stone. I sure the heck would not help my ex with anything, not one single thing ever. USCIS knows full well how ugly things can get no way would that be a requirement. What you do need is proof you have been paying child support. So if you have the court order showing the amount and proof that you are making those payments that is what you need. Nothing from her at all. I'm off to go look at the forms to see, incase I just put my foot in my mouth

This would be something that only @Captain Ewok may be able to help with. It's a long shot but have you checked your browser for the saved passwords on that device? -
I understand that you are confused, but you followed the right protocol to withdraw the visa. Once they get that withdrawal request, there is nothing more to do. You can't undo it either. Plus because your Father was placed in AP they probably need to reach out to another department. That can take time.

Sadly your Step Daughter cannot do the same. It requires a court order for name changes. Now I'll let you know about my friend's experience. They never legally changed their kids names, but they did use the "new names" on everything for schools and doctors. They all had the name listed in the files but had a sections on the forms saying goes by (insert name).
